Canine parvovirus (CPV) is a highly contagious viral disease that is severe and potentially life-threatening to dogs, especially unvaccinated puppies. CPV affects the dog's gastrointestinal tract resulting in damage to the GI tract lining and suppression of the immune system.

Symptoms include severe diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, and dehydration.
