🧸 HUGE THANK YOU 🧸 to everyone who donated - I ended up raising a total of $3,100 for the kids at Three Oaks Foundation ❤️

Shoutout to my amazing friends at Toys "R" Us in Belleville (for the 5th year in a row) who always help me out with the lowest sale price, corporate discount and tax free to make the donation money go even further! They even chipped in an additional $250 towards the cause!

This was the biggest haul yet and I was super stoked to get those cars 😍 Audi Canada
I had a very specific list from the kids and I managed to get everything they asked for and so much more 🎅🏼

I *really* look forward to doing this every year so I can’t thank you all enough for coming together to help me make this happen for some very deserving kids ❤️

🕊️ ANGUS 🕊️

It’s with a heavy heart that we are posting this boy. My favourite extra toed, polydactyl boy. He was so loved by our friend, his mama, Robyn and if love could have kept him alive - he would have lived forever ❤️

Unfortunately, Angus had some health issues but he was a fighter and outlived all of the doctor’s timelines for him. This is because his mom took the absolute BEST care of him! We have spent so much time with this boy and his brother, Simon. No one talks about the downside of pet sitting, you end up getting very attached to so many animals and your heart breaks each time one of them crosses the rainbow bridge 🌈

He had the biggest personality, and was the best cuddler. Personal space? He’s never heard of it 😂

His mom, Robyn, has been a huge supporter of mine for years and she has a heart of gold. She is always going above and beyond to help people and animals. Please send her some positive vibes to help her thru this heartbreak ❤️‍🩹

🎄IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN🎄

This will be my 5th year partnering with my awesome friends at Toys "R" Us in Belleville for the kids at Three Oaks Foundation 🧸

Every year I raise funds to buy the toys, and Toys R Us very generously gives us their corporate discount PLUS the lowest sale price so that I can make everyone’s donation money go that much further (and it goes FAR) 🙌🏼

For the past 4 years I have raised over $6,000 for this cause and with the help of Toys R Us - we have been able to donate way more than that worth of toys to some very deserving kids for Christmas 🎅🏼

Each year it gets bigger and better, last year I raised $2,000 so this year I want to raise even more! 100% of donations are used to buy the toys and if you’re in a place where you’re able to help - that’s AMAZING and beyond appreciated! If not, sharing this post or letting me know of any businesses who you think might want to donate this year is a huge help too!! I’ll be making some visits! THANK YOU ❤️

❤️‍🩹MYLA UPDATE❤️‍🩹

She pulled thru and is HOME and doing AWESOME!! We looove Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic so much and they did such an amazing job taking care of her around the clock, 24 hours a day until she was ready to come home! She is taking it easy and going to recover 100% 🥹❤️

BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated, it was a total of $1580 sent in donations and can’t thank you all enough! The total cost for Myla between both vets was $7467 and your donations brought that down to $5887 ❤️ you are all amazing!

When it rains it pours, I guess ⛈️

The past few days have been really hard. We need help with my Grandma’s dog, Myla 😭 Let me start by saying that my Grandma is literally the sweetest person and has been having a really rough go lately.. a month ago she just lost her partner of 15 years very suddenly (after losing her husband of 30 years before that) and now her dog that’s her BABY is very very sick.

We rushed her to the vet where they thought she had a blockage, but once they got in there and realized it was some sort of toxin and she was on the verge of sepsis. This surgeon said that it was out of her wheelhouse. So we RUSHED Myla to Peterborough emergency vet in hopes that they could save her 😭

She is still there now with around the clock care and while she’s not in the clear yet, they seemed pretty confident that she could pull through with their help. Myla isn’t even a year old and you wouldn’t meet a sweeter dog. As soon as my Grandma lost her partner, Myla said “I got this”. She’s been sleeping with her and filling the empty spot in her bed, keeping her busy and just being an all around really good girl.

We paid over 4.5k to the first vet and now at the second vet we were quoted about 1k per day of around the clock care (and that’s without any surgery or anything). I will post more quotes and receipts when we get them.

I know we just asked for help with Lola (and we’re beyond grateful - thank you cards are in the mail) but this is the whole reason for my business - to help people and animals in need. So we’re here asking again for help. Every little bit counts and adds up 🙏🏼

Does anyone recognize this sweet boy?? We found him at Suzanna Moodie Public School just wandering around by himself 🥺 there was also a food and water dish left with him…

He was sooo sweet, got along with our dogs and loved attention. He’s at Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward now but I wish we could have taken him home with us lol

She had several laser treatments and now she’s moved on to water therapy rehab! So proud of her!! 🙌🏼

LOLA UPDATE ❤️‍🩹

She’s healing very well and has been getting regular laser treatments! She starts physio in the water next week. Clearly she is stressed in this environment - it takes a lot of courage for her to do this stuff because she is so nervous around people. We are so proud of her!! ❤️

LOLA UPDATE ❤️‍🩹

She had her surgery yesterday at Loyalist Veterinary Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Services and everything went perfectly thanks to Dr. Hardacre and his team 🙌🏼

She has been resting, with Max and Jepp right by her side every minute ❤️ She’s been eating and taking her meds well which helps a lot - she’s the best patient! That’s even what they said after surgery, that she was the sweetest patient and let them do everything that they needed to do without trouble. They couldn’t get over how gentle (and pretty) she is 🥹

She starts laser therapy on Friday and will start physio in the water in a few weeks.

We will keep posting to let everyone know how she’s doing! Cant thank you all enough ❤️

** LOLA UPDATE **

We are so BEYOND grateful to announce that Lola’s surgery and rehab cost has been COMPLETELY covered 🥺❤️ (no more donations please and thank you!!)

We can’t even believe it and we will never be able to express just how truly thankful we are ❤️

We will be reaching out to each and every one of you that donated so we can thank you personally. And huge thanks to everyone who shared and supported! It’s all so appreciated!

Lola had another exam and additional X-raysLoyalist Veterinary Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Servicesion Services just to make 10000% sure that this is the route that needs to be taken and - it is.
We got her an anti inflammatory to combine with her pain medication to keep her as comfortable as possible in the meantime and she goes for surgery on August 12 (we’re on cancellation list if anything comes up before that). We feel very confident with Dr. Hardacre for Lola’s surgery and we will be sure to keep everyone posted on her progress and rehabilitation ❤️‍🩹

This is Lola currently ⬇️ whenever she has anaesthesia she’s like this the rest of the day so she will keep getting lots of love and have a bone waiting for her when she’s ready ❤️‍🩹

Ohh Lola… everyone’s favourite dog with the famous story. Unfortunately, this is her story as of late;

She suddenly started favouring her back left leg. We thought she might have pulled a muscle but when it didn’t seem to be getting better we took her to the vet for X-rays.

The vet thought it might be her hips but wasn’t completely sure - so we were sent to a specialist at Loyalist Orthopaedics.

After speaking with him, we have found out that it’s actually not her hips and it’s a torn CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) and she will need surgery to repair it, as well as rehab. Poor girl 💔
Like she hasn’t been thru enough 😥

In total, the estimate is $8,271 (not including what we already paid for the x rays).

This is going to be really hard for us to cover without help. We told her we would figure it out tho, we won’t let her down!! In saying that, we really hate to do this, but if anyone is able to help Lola we would be forever grateful 🥺

The whole reason we do what we do is to be able to help animals in need, but this time it’s our own dog that needs us. She is on pain medication in the meantime until we are able to book the surgery. She has an appointment this Thursday with the surgeon to do a physical and to book the surgery date.
