Guinea Pig Love

Sadly we lost Rhubarb last night. He was head of the boys herd and about a week ago he had a funny turn but then hopped back into being his self. Still happy to see us every morning and rattling his indoor cage so he could go and play outside.
He was one of our recuse piggies and actually came from a happy background. However, both him and his brother were the eldest of all the herd.

2 new female friends to the herd. These girls were well looked after but the owner felt they were no longer getting the time and attention they need.
They are mother and daughter
As we have foody names the kids have already called the ginger one ‘Biscoff’ and I think the black and brown one I think is going to be florentine.
Florentine is a bit skittish.

The rain has had a massive impact on the enclosure on the last few days but is drying out nicely today.

Our little fudge puppy died yesterday. She had a stroke. We buried her under a beautiful red rose.

The baby boys are getting on well with the other lads, still have another 1 to introduce tomorrow. That makes 8 boars and 8 sows. Fudge still likes to chill in his house, he can’t be bothered for all the fussing unless it involves cuddles. Since he’s so chilled and daddy to the babies we put him in with them whilst they settle away from their mothers. He’s happy to let them snuggle up and was a good foster Daddy to both peanut and Jelly bean.

Rhubarb and Mr Mallow are still finding their feet with all the excitement. Rhubarb is getting better at coming to us for cuddles now, too.

Pepper has had her pups. 4 beautiful babies. She’s doing well too. I thought she might only of had the 2 in there.
This is what she looked like last night.
At first I thought they were all Jet Black but one has a white streak on it’s head with a brown patch at the back and another has a white paw.
Thinking up food names for them now.
The patch one will be called fudge puppy.

My name is fudge and I’m an olympic high jumper. I can clear 2 feet to eat Mummy’s herbs that she grows for us.
I’m currently in time out as I can’t be trusted and mummy does not want me to get under the gate and eat all the neighbours herbs.

I’m Jelly bean. I’m about 7 weeks old. I’m a Boy. I like cuddles but I’m also super chatty.
My favourite pals are Fudge and peanut.

We have 12 pigs currently and we name ours after food. We believe that Bubble and Pepper may be pregnant and it looks like fudge is the daddy.

Both sexes are kept separate even at play time.
