Rehoming is hard. BUT, when it is done right it warms the soul.
The duck
“Duckie came to us as a 8 week old puppy from Sharon at Sharchum. We had wanted a Gem baby since seeing her on one of our walks and oh the movement. Gem floated across the ground and looked effortless.
We had our baby and the kids saw her and and said she looked like Duckie off The Land Before Time and so it was.
We got 2 beautiful litters off Duckie and knew it was time to look for a home. The problem was we loved her to bits and she loved us. Duckie also LOVED sheep. Love in a not so good way so she couldn’t stay and live her ideal life.
The search began for a loving family with good fences and in need of a lot of love. This girl has love in spades.
A mate and owner of two of our girls was chatting to me and stated he had the perfect family for duck. Two little girls a work from home dad and a career nurse as her mum. The match was made in heaven.
From here I leave it to ducks mum
“Duckie, Duck-Duck-Goose, Duckles ❤️
Duckie came to us after our family of four had been minding two Labradors. We felt we were missing something when they returned home and were referred to Cain Hill CD through dear friends.
It was fate. A bounding, curly girl came in to our lives. She loves a walk, a swim, bbq chicken and cuddles.
She watches over two little girls. Greeting them in the mornings and checking their bedroom doors overnight. Staying close by when a child is sick, she is a wonderful guardian.
She is a big snuggly girl. Especially when she sees her Dad or if it’s storming.
She is such a sweet, loving and warm girl and we are so lucky to call Duckie our girl.
Duckie is a true companion, a cheeky and gentle little mate. We have loved having her join our family, and cannot imagine life without her.”
