East Lake Large Munsterlander The Large Munsterlander is a unique versatile hunting dog which originated in the Munster region of northwestern Germany and was introduced to the US in 1966.

Their natural talent, prey drive, and desire to please make them an incredible partner both in the field and at home! Through our girl "Andi" we have become members of NAVHDA and Andi has proven her talent by earning a Natural Ability Prize 1 - score 104/112. Our sights are now set on working toward her NAVHDA Utility test. Although we still have much to learn ourselves, we have been highly impres

sed with the natural talent etched into this dog. Through our membership with the Large Munsterlander Association of America, we support the hunt & health based testing of the breed to produce a canine that excels at pointing, tracking and retrieving game via land and sea. That’s a wrap for our 2024 Munster crew. All our pups have departed to incredible homes far and wide across the country. Nearly the entire litter went to homes with existing bird dogs (LM’s, Small Munsterlander’s, and GSP’s)… It was tough to see the last one go… but now we prepare for our human baby’s arrival! Looking forward to watching these little bird dogs grow up, and glad that we ended up having one stay local!
