We don't market ourselves as a discipline-specific barn. Why? We (horse & human) like to do all the things! Not only does it make lessons more engaging for the riders, it also does wonders for our horses mental and physical well being to have a different "job" every time they're brought into the barn.

*All* of today's riders participated in *all* of the pleasure and speed classes offered at our first "in barn" show.

We're very proud to have a supportive environment that allows everyone to be confident enough to get out of their comfort zone and try new things 😊

Thank you to the lesson students, boarders, and their families that were able to join us today. It sounds like a fall barn show will be a go 😀

🐴Poynette Interscholastic Equestrian Team:
EQUESTRIANS WANTED🏇

👀We are looking for students, grades 6-12, who are interested in joining Poynette's Equestrian team for the 2024-2025 school year. We are a lettering sport! 👍Every year we have a lot of fun. The concept of showing as a team, instead of individually, makes it much more enjoyable for everyone.
🐎The season for the equestrian team runs from Mid August to the beginning November. We do have team practices and you are encouraged to attend with your horse, location TBD. The classes include most disciplines: Western, English, Jumping and Gymkhana (speed). All classes have patterns (judged on the student and how well the student/horse shows as a team). There are no pleasure classes (judged on the horse). We compete in three shows (all in one weekend–one day is double judged) in Oshkosh at Sunnyview Expo Center on September 27-29. If our team places 1st or 2nd in our division then we’ll compete at the state show in Madison October 25-27.
✨Approximate Fees for the district show are as follows: $45 membership, $50 stall fee per horse, $75 show fee and $20 camping fee. The deadline for signing up is July 24, 2024.
📌MARK YOUR CALENDAR to attend an organizational meeting Wednesday July 10th at 6:00 p.m. under the park pavilion in downtown Poynette (by the baseball diamonds).

A little over a year ago we officially opened our doors and the amount of growth that has occurred in that time is more than we could have ever imagined ☺️ Our lesson schedule was just about maxed all summer and now we are heading towards fall with all of our available turnouts being filled with new horses and riding friends 🎉

There's something so incredibly special about seeing sweat equity pay off 🥺 Returning from a relaxing post-lesson group trail ride, we were greeted by a friend that had hauled in and was finishing up some training in the outdoor arena. Just as her trailer left, the next car with a horse crazed kiddo was pulling in for their lesson. Thursdays are busy, but we are so incredibly lucky and thankful for the opportunity to share what we love with people of all ages and abilities ❤️

Day 2 of the softening clinic with Sarah Zeman Horsemanship is a wrap. If you weren't able to make it out this weekend we are planning to have her back again later this year!

Weekend plans canceled due to weather? Sarah Zeman Horsemanship will be conducting her 'Softness From Nose To Tail' clinic in our indoor arena this weekend, April 1 and 2.
Auditors are $30/person.

In this clinic she will be covering the subject of softness; which will translate to the ability to move your horses nose, poll, shoulders, ribs, hips, and feet exactly where you want them to go.

Recently treated with antidust and maintained with a professional quality drag several days a week our indoor is the perfect place to get a jump start on the 2023 season.

Our last project of 2022 was placing a base and footing in Jocelyn and Mitch's new Amish-built indoor near Poynette.
