Meet Cole!
While he may look like a gorgeous Lionhead with those flowing locks, we suspect he may actually be a puppy in a bunny suit.
This little guy is always happy to see you and any other bunny or cat that happens by him in his current foster setting.
Cole loves to be pet, is very good about the necessary grooming he requires, and will even let you hold him for a bit until he wants to be put down to hop off and explore and play again.
This little guy is guaranteed to make you laugh with his bunny antics and will charm you with his good looks, too!

Nilla is a foster success story looking for her happily ever after.
She enjoys affection and will let you know when she is ready for attention by giving her pen a rattle, which is always adorable! Nilla is curious and loves exploring so be sure to bunny-proof all wires and wood.
Nilla’s favorite activities include lounging in front of the fireplace, eating hay cubes out of tissue boxes and running around the house.
She enjoys being a part of family activities, loves spending most of her time out and about around people, is very good about using her litter box, would do well in a home with kids and doesn't mind loud noises as long as you respect her need for occasional alone time.
Given her personality, we think she may do well with other pets and that she would be a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Cinderella is a sweet 4-lb. Agouti spayed female, one of several rabbits rescued from a neglectful situation in January 2024. After being rescued, Cinderella raised three of the sweetest baby bunnies we have ever met (Matcha, Latte, Cappuccino). Now that they have found happy hoppy homes, it is time for Cinderella to have her own storybook ending. She has excellent grooming and litter box habits, soft agouti fur, and beautiful eyelashes that draw you in. She is a little shy but does not mind being picked up. Cinderella is affectionate with her stuffy, Hip-Hop the grey hippo, from whom she should not be separated. Due to some past experiences, we feel that Cinderella would do best in a home where she is the only bunny, although she seems to be fine with the company of bunny-mannered cats. Could your palace use its very own princess?

You'll want to meet our friend, Bella, and she wants to meet you!
Bella likes to be part of the action in her foster home which includes a dog, cat, and hosts visitors including children. She wants pets, play, and attention from them all and somehow manages to escape her hutch to get what she wants.
When on her unauthorized roams, she does maintain her litter box training manners but does have some of the "bunnitude" one may expect from such a woman of action. Like most bunnies, she doesn't care to be picked up but will tolerate it for short periods if there are snuggles involved.
Also like most rabbits, Bella can be territorial with her space and may remind you of that with a nip if you reach into her enclosure for reasons other than spoiling her, like to tidy up.
Bella has adjusted very well to being in a home after being found as a stray and her foster mom thinks that she would do well in any loving, bunny-ready home. She may even be a good bondmate for your current rabbit.

Meet Surry—a sweet girl estimated to be about two years old, named for the town in Maine where she was found. She was recently spayed and is recovering in the home of our foster chairperson, but she really needs a foster (or foster-to-adopt) home. Surry has very good litterbox manners, is a great eater, and is social and curious. She is incredibly soft, loves having her head and ears rubbed, and plays with hay-stuffed cardboard tubes. She seems to like cats and may be a good fit for a potential bond mate in the future.

Meet Miss Junior Mint!
This 4-year-old spayed Mini Rex/English Spot mix bunny is a delightful mix of sass and sweetness. Once she warms up to you, she’ll charm you with her lively head binkies every time you walk into the room.
Miss Junior Mint is a busy girl with a packed daily schedule of important bunny business: tidying her litterbox, self-grooming her coat to "mint condition", racing through cardboard tunnels (and nibbling them for good measure), organizing hay-stuffed toilet paper rolls, indulging in snack time, zooming with excitement at dinner time, and grooving to mellow cello playlists on Spotify. She’s also an accomplished escape artist, a devoted stuffed animal groomer, and a camera-ready superstar.
Miss Junior Mint would thrive in a home with lots of space to run and explore. She prefers not to share the limelight with young children or other rabbits, but she’s a big fan of feline friends. He likes to play with his stuffed carrot in the morning; he does his 'carrot runs' where he runs circles around the room with the stuffed carrot in his mouth then brings it to you to get pets. He has great litterbox habits, does well with children, loves his fresh veggies, and is not afraid of loud noises.

Maurice is a very handsome Flemish-Chinchilla mix rabbit; he is large in size and personality. Maurice is a happy, fun-loving rabbit who enjoys a lot of time out of his pen to explore and just be a curious bunny. He is 6 years old but full of pep and feistiness. He is fun to watch and have around. He does not like to be picked up. He does like to be petted in short intervals. He won’t be a cuddle bun, but he will hang out with you in the living room or wherever you want. Maurice will do best in a home with no children; he can be a bit feisty and growl if you come at him too quickly (but he has never bitten), and this could be scary for children. PETCO has gone back on their promise to stop selling rabbits and promote adoption through rescues, and is selling breeder-provided rabbits at some of their stores. We are asking that people boycott Petco in the US until they end this practice.

Sisters Pumpkin (rust-colored) and Nutmeg (beige) are spayed female Lionhead-mix rabbits. They are very curious rabbits and a joy to watch for any home. These adorable sisters are very gentle and friendly. They have healthy appetites and good litterbox habits. They are shy with other rabbits but get along well. These sisters have been waiting for their forever home, and Pumpkin and Nutmeg would make a great addition to your family.

HRC NEEDS FOSTER HOMES!

HRC is in a foster home crunch--please tell your friends, family, and co-workers about this need. Many hands make light work!
Knowing that you have saved the life of your foster rabbit is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. We cannot help rabbits in need of homes without the support of foster homes. If you live in the Springfield, MA/Hartford, CT area, please help HRC by fostering a rabbit or pair!

HRC provides support to its foster homes, as well as supplying equipment to house the rabbit, hay, and litter pellets. We are always available for our foster parents who have questions or need assistance.
