Gleniffer DTC sadly has no beginner spaces at the moment, we do however have space for a few experienced handlers and dogs, we train at Lochwinnoch on a Thursday evening between 7pm and 9pm, Sandra Lima Da Silva is our Club Trainer and trains with a group of 6 different dogs on a rotational basis per week and the remaining members set up some exercises/courses to train and help each other out, our indoor venue is a sand based surface and we are lucky the the arena is very large so we have plenty of room.

If you are interested pop me a wee message and we can go through membership/training costs etc.

We have a very rare space become available in our Thursday morning class in Kilmalcolm. It’s from 10am till 11am.

It is the only space we have at the moment 🐾

Gleniffer Show Information

Morning everyone, we have managed to get all 7 rings in the top field where the camping used to be, this means camping will now be in the bottom field nearest the car park, Disabled Camping/Parking will be in the field beside the rings, Judges/Scribes/Club members and Trade will be the only other caravans in the top field, all other caravans/tents will be in the bottom field, please note Judging will start at 8am in all rings, the skip will hopefully be sited in the field with the rings in it nearest the main road, there is a clear road marked to get into all fields, please keep your speed to 5mph (you will be asked to leave the show ground if you don’t 😬 you have been warned)
Please dispose of your rubbish in the skip at the end of your stay.
Ring 1 will be outside the marquee and will go anti clockwise round in order of 1 - 7, we aim to do prize giving after each class where possible, it would be nice if you could listen out for this and come along to collect your awards, 1st place class winners will be given a voucher to take to Stuart Laverick photography to have a photo of your choice taken, please try to do this as soon as you can as it can get quite busy, we wish you all a successful weekend and hope you and your dogs have fun. Massive thanks to Eileen Wade who will be booking in Campers, Loudon Steele and Brian McDougall who will be our hunky car park attendants and Dawn Archer who once again has offered to do our rubbish, we are very grateful, to those who offered help via Showtime we will let you know when we need you so please bear with us.

Campers will be allowed on site from 3pm unless you have a prior arrangement, please ensure you have a fire bucket outside you caravan/tent, we are expecting the Field Officer and she will be checking this out I’m sure.

We have 8 rings for the first time ever so it will be tight, please keep your camping to a safe minimum where possible, camping will be in the back field as normal, front two rows will be for Disabled and Helpers, The long strip alongside the rings is exclusively for Club Members, Judges/Scribes and Trade Stands will in be in the Main Show Ground.

Day Parking will be as normal at Lanark.

We hope you all have a fantastic time at our first Champ Show and help us to make it very Special.

Have you ever wanted to have a wee try of Dog Agility? Gleniffer DTC will be doing a Public Display at Kilmalcolm Show on Saturday 12th of May.

Before and after the display there will be a chance for you to come along and try it out with your dogs.

If you are already doing agility you are welcome to come along and run round the course - all proceeds will be going towards fundraising for our Club Members Sandra Lima da Silva and Rachael Gilmour who are heading to the Netherlands to compete at the World Agility Championships in May.

Please come along and support them 🐾😃

Can I express my thanks to members working their asses off all weekend, ring parties that offered help, Gary bringing the stuff for all the lovely judges to be able to do their thing, Mallabars for paperwork and laptops for the scorers to be able to their things too,BB boys and everyone else that helped with little things like emptying the bags or refilling the loos ❤️💜⭐️🎉🥂 you are all ace!

You need to follow the road to left as you come through the gate, drive between marquee and caravans all the way to next field and then its through the gate and straight on. Park in next available space in line.

Thank you very much to the two members that turned up to help me to mark out the field for all the lovely competitors this weekend. I could not have done it without them xx

CAMPING (not before 3pm) STALLS AND PARKING INFO.

Members, judges,scribes, stalls and designated helpers and requests already submitted only will camp in the main field.

When you arrive you will be advise what field you will have a space at. There will also be parking on the race course just outside the fence which is suitable for tents or caravans with no gardens.
Further camping is available on the bend and along the racecourse.

Main camping field has allocated rows and jockey wheel goes on the marked dot. Rows are marked. Everyone should fit. Size of of pitches are 9x9 metres which allows walking between pitches.

There will be parking attendants available please listen to them.

NO ABUSE OR NON COMPLIANCE WITH PARKING MANAGERS WILL BE TOLERATED. You will be asked to leave and reported to KC.

One more thing. As you know Race course is a public area so please be vigilant as members of public are free to walk around.

***CAMPING - do not arrive before 3pm-PLEASE READ***

The middle gate at Lanark will be manned and should any competitor attempt to enter with caravan/camping gear through it they will not be allowed through. Should you try you will be asked to leave the show ground and reported to kennel club.

Entry to show ground will be sign posted and is only through the day parking area.

If you haven't paid/not on my list you will be asked to sit and wait in the day parking until everyone else has been accommodated. May be a looong day for you. And if there is no space you will not be let in.

There will be no more posts about camping.
