For those that feed Chop and Grains- found this at Aldi's yesterday. Although labeled as rice, it is a Vegetable Flour Orzo Pasta. Made from Organic Red Lentil, Green Pea and Chickpea Flour, these should make a great addition to your favorite Chop mixture. Be sure to cook al dente in plain water and freeze what you don't serve that day. Believe it was priced at $2.99.

Almost ready to go to their new home, both male and female White Bellied Caique babies available. Handfed, cuddly and endlessly payful. Fully flighted and eating pellets, chop, sprouts, birdie bread, Goldenfeast treat mix and know how to drink from Lixit Glass water bottle. As always, babies are gender DNAd and disease tested.

Just sharing a photo of my Red Bellied Parrot pair; O.J. and Renee. Renee is not even a year old so it will be a while before they can breed but hopefully building a bond in the interim. Red Bellied Parrots are members of Poicephalus (African Parrots) and are the size of Senegals. The male has the striking orange belly whereas the female's colors are more muted. They are an affectionate quiet parrot with talking ability.

Still being handfed, this White Bellied Caique female baby will be looking for her new playground, (I mean home) towards the beginning/mid September. Her older brother is already spoken for. Like all of my babies, she will be weaned onto pellets, chop, sprouts, birdie muffins and know how to drink from a water bottle.

Look who's growing up! The little Blue Crowned Conure baby is a MALE and he is already feathered and exercising his wings. Soon he will be flying around and learning to land and navigate his surroundings. He is still on several formula feedings but should be ready for his new perch at the end of the summer.

I wanted to update everyone that I underwent hip replacement surgery on the 23rd of May and am in the process of recovering, physical therapy, etc. Huge thanks to my family and friends for taking excellent care of me and my flock: especially feeding the baby birds. I truly appreciate all the well wishes and understanding of my former and future customers. I am quickly on the mend and already ditching my walker for a cane! Will be back to posting regular updates and photos of babies!
