It's interesting to post things and have people who have NO understanding of situations comments or NO clue into our life. We chose to breed so that people with allergies could experience having an animal and to give to people for therapy. We as a family have chosen to not shelter our children from the potential of loss. Living on land and having animals creates opportunities for growth, heartache, excited/joy and hard work. I want my children to be able to hold their emotions and feel them all in the safety and converting of a nurturing home. Death of animals has brought on many beautiful conversations in our home as well as birth. Stewarding well what we have has taught our children hard work and responsibility. The American culture is very different than many other parts of the world in regards to us being sheltered from where our food comes from, the cycle of life and death. As a therapist I work with people who were never allowed to feel their emotions, were told their emotions were wrong, had parents that couldn't handle their emotions, had a unhealthy view of life and death leaving them full of anxiety and fear of death and loss. We are watching our children cultivate deep compassion for ALL life all while understanding the fragility of it, honoring it, valuing it, and saying good bye when an animal has passed or is to sick to continue. Just because someone disagrees doesn't mean it's wrong it just means it's different.

Surfer doodles is officially moving. We found a beautiful piece of land located about 20 mins from where we are now. We are so excited for room to grow and roam. Keep checking in for new updates

I flew out this morning to drop off two puppies in Dallas. Little did I know my flight back was at a different airport in Dallas TX. Finally on my first flight back home. It's going to be a long night, but so happy the babies found forever homes
