Garlic Shrimp Pasta 🥘
1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
1 lb spaghetti noodles (more or less, depending on family size)
6 -8 garlic cloves, according to personal taste, minced
1/4 cup butter
olive oil (3 drizzles)
italian seasoning
fresh ground pepper
red pepper flakes
salt
herbs (according to taste)
1 Boil pasta in water till tender, save 1 cup of pasta water for use later. I always put some oil, salt, and fresh herbs in with my pasta when I boil it. Drain and set aside when done.
2 While pasta is boiling, wash shrimp.
3 Melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp.
4 Let cook till a little pink and starting to curl. Then add garlic.
5 Cook 5-7 min., add oil. Continue to stir till shrimp is pink and curled.
6 Add pasta to skillet. Add seasonings. Add just enough saved pasta water till it is not dry but not swimming in liquid either. Depending on amount of pasta this requires 1/2 the cup or all of it. Start with adding 1/4 of it then work up from there.
7 Keep tossing all ingredients around in skillet till all is incorporated and hot.
Enjoy ❤

Good morning Stroud Township chicken peeps! For those of you who don’t know me, I am the one who has been fighting the township to save our chickens. It has cost me a lot of money and I had to already move my birds, but I wanted you guys to have an opportunity to keep yours on your property. It was a heavy heart this morning I come to you. I was told that we lost at the Commonwealth level. So we are done. The only thing I can suggest is that we get together and force the township to write an ordinance specific to chickens. I know everyone is afraid to step forward because you could lose your birds, and it’s a probability. But if people don’t get together, this is never going to change. I now drive an hour every morning to feed, water & clean my birds. My husband drives an hour to take care of them at night. We were fortunate enough to find somewhere to place our birds where we could still take care of them. I do not have the energy to head something like this. My journey took a year to complete. I would, however, be interested in helping whoever would like to start some thing like that. If everyone just sits back and hides their birds all it takes is one call from a neighbor or someone you’ve pi**ed off or for the Township driving around and spotting them and they are gone. Anybody who’s thinking about doing it and getting permission later there is no permission later. Don’t do it until something has changed. This whole thing has cost me about $12,000 between legal fees and moving them. That’s not including the gas I use to go back-and-forth every day. Good luck and keep me posted if someone decides to step up and take on the township.
