Just got home from Lucban, Quezon. Nakapag-uwi pa nga ng seedlings sa dami ng agricultural shops dun. Such a gardener's paradise, para kang nakatira sa loob ng terrarium. Kahit saan ka tumingin mapafarm man or bahayan may mga tanim na gulay like pipino, sitaw, ampalaya, kamatis at marami pa! Malamig kahit summer, moist ang lupa pati yung mga nakakapit na halaman sa trees nabuhuhay eh. Andami ring moss kahit sa canals nila meron at very healthy rin. Ganun ata talaga pag sagana sa tubig yung lugar tapos nasa paanan pa ng Mt. Banahao. Nakahanap na ata ako ng lugar kung san magreretire hahaha 💚✨🫶⛰️

Napakaraming kamatis! Sarap pala ng freshly picked kamatis tapos organic pa. Nakapaso lang rin siya mga 40-50 liters paso to. Fertilizers siyempre organic, vermicast at fermented juices lang. 💚🍅

Always grateful for chances like this, to share my knowledge to students on how we can contribute in saving our environment. Started this blog in 2017 with undying hope that we can still grow our own food in an urban setting. And then pandemic hits us hard, the urge for urban farming grew like wildflowers. I had to go on live webinars almost everyday just to teach eager gardening students even just enthusiasts the benefits of growing your own food. Fast forward to 2024, still continuing what purpose I made for "Bea Hardinera" or what I always say "Be A Hardinera" 💚🌱

Went on a nature trip last weekend! Saya pala magbike papunta sa camp, from Las Piñas to Balite Falls, Amadeo about 35-40kilometers rin yun! with elevation 😅 Mawawala yung pagod mo pag nakarating kana sa bundok, masarap sa pakiramdam yung simoy ng hangin, fresh at malamig malayung-malayo sa siyudad. 🍃 Samahan mo pa ng mga solid na tropa 💚 wala ka nang mahihiling pa! sarap pala mabuhay ✨

Slow Grow - It's been two weeks since nagstart ulit ako magtanim, yung mga kangkong galing yan sa kitchen scraps pinaugat ko lang yung kangkong stalks sa bowl ng water for 2 days then tinanim na sa lupa. Makikita mo naman agad na tumutubo na yung mga cute na dahon niya after 4-5 days. Nagtanim nga rin pala ko ng ampalaya seeds, infairness ang bilis ng germination niya kahit direct ko na sa lupa tinanim. Almost 1ft na siya ngayon after 2 weeks, need lang talaga ng trellis para mas mabilis siya mag-crawl paakyat. Same as sa mustasa and pechay seeds, sinaboy ko lang rin sa grow bed, ayun nagmukha siyang microgreens. Proof lang ito na kahit tamad ka magsimula ulit magtanim ay tutubo at tutubo parin yung seeds na sinaboy mo hahaha. Salamat sa ulan at di ko na kailangan mag-dilig. Ikaw magtatanim kana ba ulit? 💚
