Wexford K9 Search and Rescue are currently looking to expand our team of volunteers.
✅ We work the buddy system which allows team members to work alongside the k9 teams.
✅ We are also interested in hearing from people with boating and diving experience.
✅ K9 air scenting and trailing teams with sar experience.

Mantrailing is fantastic for your dogs confidence and this gives them the mental stimulation they need.
Dogs see the world through their noses.
To see shy and nervous dogs excel with confidence whilst doing what they do naturally.
With the steps for success and professional instruction all breeds of dog can do this.

It’s a low impact sport

It’s not just about the dogs, it’s also about you.
spending time with like minded people with one special thing in common…and that’s the LOVE OF DOGS…
Teamwork at its best
Picnic lunch together .. provided on the day.
Your bond with your dog and the new friends you make will blossom.

Partners are very welcome at no extra cost..
Our dogs are our family so why leave mom or dad at home?
They are welcome to do some hiding for the dogs to find them and also the social aspect is just great.
Just let me know they are coming and their will be sandwiches ect for them for lunch.

Mantrailing ..
what is it ?
Mantrailing is the pursuit of the individual scent trail that every person leaves behind , just like a finger print . With the aid of an article that is throughly contaminated with the missing persons sent ... the mantrailing dog is able to filter out the right trail from all the scents of diffrent people and the surrounding enviroments .
The dog works in rural and urban areas ... the individual scent gives the dog information it needs to follow the trail..

It's a fantastic sport to get involved in.
Puppies can start from as young as 16 weeks.
Reactive/nervous dogs welcome.
Learn new skills and meet like minded people..

You will be amazed what your dog can do..

Plenty of workshops coming up plus 2 day camping workshops...all levels welcome

My new little apprentice is here. Still a bit small but his 2 furry siblings are breaking him in to being a dog friendly fella 🐶 little Cathal is fitting in just perfect to our family 😊❤️😊
Give us another month or two and we might be delving into the doggy shampooing and trimming 😁 take care ❤️

I am delighted to introduce teen mantrailing classes to Wexford..
I'm a great believer that children are our future..

1st class starting November 6th 2.15 to 4.15

Meet new friends..

Both fun scent detection and teen mantrailing classes are open to children with disabilites and autism..
Groups can also pre book and dates and times will be allocated..
It's fantastic fun..
