Dear Remy,

16 months ago I looked in my back yard and saw a little bum with a docked tail and said, who the heck is that?! Daddy just laughed and said, it’s just King! Um no, King has a tail. You were hungry, dirty, and completely untrained. There was no way I was letting you go. You look at me an daddy with the biggest smile and we knew right where you belonged. It’s like you were with us from day one. A short time later you were pregnant (sorry about that) but, you were amazing. Having you lay on my stomach and feeling your puppies on me, it’s something I will remember always. The day you went into labor was so thrilling. I was your midwife lol. You did so good Remy girl. You pushed out 6 beautiful babies and took such good care of them. You kept them clean and fed around the clock for weeks. We sent 4 of your babies off with loving homes and we are so blessed they all keep in touch. Zeus and Teddy love their momma so much and are looking for you. Rocky too! You were the best little sister to Kingy. When he got sick you were right there keeping him comfortable. Remy Girl, you brought SO much joy into our home. You belonged there with us. Chicharro, party of 8! This was not supposed to happen. I can’t get out of my own head. When Venus got sick, we said we wouldn’t let that happen again. Venus was before you but she had cervical cancer and if she were spade, she wouldn’t have got sick. So, we thought we were doing the right thing Remy. We really did. You didn’t have any breakfast yesterday or even any water. You didn’t get to play with Rocky, Zeus and Teddy and knowing that is crushing me. Your last day with us was so constricted. You took a ride, which you love, and you never really came back. I dropped you off, left you, and you got hurt. I wasn’t there for you. I am so sorry. I hope you know how much we all love you and I hope you will forgive me. Mommy, Daddy, Karma & Ahrianna are so lost without you. Remy, we love you.

Thank you to the hundreds of people who have called, texted, sent flowers & Edible Arrangements. You’re heartfelt condolences are so very appreciated and we love you all. The passing of Remy was completely unexpected and it just should not have happened. The Emergency Veterinarian confirmed Remy has excessive bleeding in her abdomen which resulted in a heart attack and the combination of the two, ultimately caused her heart to stop. It’s has been just under 48 hours since my girl took her last breath and we are just so crushed. This photo says so much about her personality. For those who had the pleasure of meeting her will agree, she was the tazmainian devil, A Sour Patch Baby. Her love, kisses and cuddles will be forever missed. She was the queen of this pack. She kept us all safe. No one came close to our front door without her letting you know she was right there to determine if you were a friendly. And when you left, she watched you get into your car. Remy knew when her daddy got home everyday. She would stand in the window and just watch him get out of the car and walk in. Being greeted by Remy was a gift. She was truly the best addition to our family. We miss you so very much princess. This is just so unfair 💔
