The complete story so far - including update from their vet visit last Tuesday.

The estimate we received for their vet care. It’s likely we won’t need all of this - but they made a list of all possible items. We’d like to set $500 as our goal to raise for their vet visit!
They both need antibiotics, we’d like to do ultrasounds to confirm if they’re bred, and how much time we have, their teeth need checked and possibly fixed, and we need the mare who seems to have some pain in a rear leg to get an xray.

They’re both so sweet, someone at some point in their lives did show them love because they adore human attention. It almost makes it more heartbreaking that life landed them in this situation.

We’ve not raised their bail money yet, but their time was up today and the heavy bred mommas needed a safe home.

We’re new here!
2022 was a quieter year for rescue intake - the baby’s arrival consumed a lot of our time - but we did provide a home for some more donkeys ❤️, dogs and cats! This year we’re finishing up expansion projects and opening the doors for those that need it again!
First newcomers are these sweet little guys! Their previous Momma loved them dearly but county restrictions forced them to find a new home.

Home at last

Coming up on two years since we found this farm. It’s everything we dreamed of and more.

From 60 acres to nearly 200, with two additional farmhouses. Fences, barns, buildings, enclosures, gardens… all added so far (and a never ending list of goals)!
We’ve worked nonstop - alongside all of you cheering us on - and it’s been so rewarding.

Most importantly, hundreds of animals have been able to call it home 🥰

Picking up our monthly bulk grain order! We’ve saved so much by switching to this option from our normal 50lb bag - and we aren’t having to make weekly trips for feed!

If you keep up on the YouTube channel (www.YouTube.com/AdriRachelle) you’ll already know about this bear of a dog!
Newly renamed “Hagrid”, a 4 year old Newfoundland that was surrendered to us last month. He’s 130lbs of sweet, drooling, lazy dog! He needed a lot of maintenance when he first arrived (I think we removed about 50lbs of hair!) but he’s living his best farm dog life now!

He’s come so far! I’ve been trying to wait to share an update until the screws have been pulled and he’s fully recovered…but I can’t! He’s doing AMAZING! The vet is confident he will be sound and rideable! The screws come out (& he gets gelded) on the 10th of November. I’m so ready to watch him run after being unable to even walk for his entire first year of life!

Your donations keep us going. His costs to date have cleared $4k and next month will add another $500-$1k. We’ve gotten nearly $1k of it covered by supporters!
