Minnie is just too skinny — and she needs our help!

This sweet girl has clearly had a tough past. We don’t know what she’s been through, but we do know we want the rest of her life to be nothing short of a dream. Minnie needs a foster family — possibly even a foster-to-adopt home — who can love her, nourish her, and help her regain her health.

She’s gentle and does well with people, though she’s a bit timid. At the shelter she doesn’t approach other dogs’ kennels, and unfortunately we don’t have a way to test her with cats in her current location.

We would love to welcome Minnie into the APARC family, but we need a committed foster to make that possible. All we ask is that you give her love, follow her feeding schedule, and help transport her to vet appointments at Urbana Veterinary Clinic — appointments we’ll schedule as conveniently for you as we can.

Meet Gizmo — a 20-pound warlock of chaos, a practitioner of the dark arts, and the shelter’s leading expert in p**p ballistics.

Once abandoned in some bushes like a cursed woodland sprite, Gizmo arrived at the Clark County Dog Shelter and IMMEDIATELY revealed his supernatural gift.

He is not merely a chihuahua mix — he is a f***l sniper!

What does a f***l sniper do?

Oh, sweet summer child… let us enlighten you.

Gizmo has perfected the ancient ritual of tactical b***y deployment. He will reverse himself with the slow, ominous precision of a semi-truck backing into a loading dock… beep… beep… beep…

And then?

DIRECT. KENNEL. STRIKE.

Other dogs’ kennels become his personal performance stage. He lines up the bars, he calculates the angle, he executes the masterpiece.

But wait — the legend grows.

Gizmo ALSO maintains his own kennel like a tiny, furious janitor who refuses to coexist with his own waste. So he fires his “art” THROUGH the bars of his kennel like a pint-sized biological trebuchet.

Is he petty? Absolutely.
Is it vengeance for the barking neighbor who won’t shut up? Almost definitely.
Is it a magic trick? A curse? An act of God?

We simply don’t know. What we do know is: if you put his crate against a wall, you are signing a contract with chaos.

But here’s the twist: aside from being a one-dog artillery unit, Gizmo is actually… fantastic. A whole vibe. A personality in a fur suit. He’s 4–5 years old, around 20 pounds, has been re-homed at least once this year, and is now seeking a human who appreciates mischief, mystery, and the occasional precision strike.

If you’re a brave soul who has heard the lore of Gizmo and thinks “yeah, that’s my dog now,” you can find him — probably plotting something, at the Clark County Dog Shelter located at 5201 Urbana Rd, Springfield, OH 45502. Open Mon–Tue: 12–5pm, Wed: Closed, open Thu–Fri: 12–5pm, and Sat: 12–4pm.

💢💢 SEEKING FOSTER 💢💢

Meet Minnie!

Minnie was found as a stray in Clark County and is in pretty poor shape. She is severely underweight (we have photos) and has some hair loss on her back end; but, that has stopped her from being an absolute lover-girl. She does well with people, although is a bit timid, and she doesn't even approach the kennels of the other dogs at the shelter. We have no way to test her for cats at the shelter she's currently at.

We would love to welcome Minnie into the APARC family, if we can find a family that's available to foster her. We just ask that you love her, feed her according to the schedule she'll need, and transport her to vet appointments at Urbana Veterinary Clinic that we will do our best to make fit your schedule.

If you would like to foster Minnie please fill out this form https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/OHAP/Dog and message us!

🚨Urgent Call for Pet Pantry Donations🚨

Right now, our shelves are empty, and we need immediate help to restock for both Clark County and Franklin County (and any surrounding county community members needing help).

Please consider donating directly through our Amazon wish lists:
🐾 Clark County Pet Pantry: https://a.co/8TPIVzR
🐾 Franklin County Pet Pantry: https://a.co/gd851Ti

You can also donate directly to our Venmo, CashApp, and Paypal so that we can purchase food and supplies directly:
Venmo: https://tinyurl.com/2h5nkd3m
CashApp: https://cash.app/$aparcohio
Paypal: https://tinyurl.com/yvbm9ffa

As donations come in, we will be hosting as many pop-up pantries as possible in both Franklin and Clark Counties, with a goal of offering them at least once per week in each location, or placing them out for pick up in front of our homes when we're unable to host a proper pop-up. Our hope is to once again secure bulk food donations (full pallets!) so we can reach as many pets and families as possible, easing burdens and preventing unnecessary suffering. Every contribution helps us reach that goal and ensures that families in crisis can continue to care for their pets.

Every bag of food, treat, or supply makes a real difference for a family in need. Together, we can ensure no pet goes hungry during this difficult time.

Learn more about our mission at www.aparcohio.org.

If you’re able to help us obtain large-scale donations or have storage space to offer, please reach out — we’d love to partner with you. Thank you for standing with us and supporting pets and families in our community.

Please keep sharing! ❤

Please keep sharing! ❤

We’re baaaaack — or at least, we hope to be!

It’s been quite some time since our pet pantry last operated, and honestly, we never expected to bring it back without a physical space of our own. But after nearly 40 phone calls from community members asking if we would help again, we realized we just couldn’t say no.

Part of the reason we originally stepped away was due to repeated thefts from Miranda’s home and ongoing harassment — including 3 a.m. phone calls demanding cat food. We simply can’t go through that again. So, this time around, things will look a little different.

What we ARE doing:
☑️ Hosting frequent pop-ups in different areas of Clark and Franklin County (and occasionally setting supplies out in front of our homes when donations are low).
☑️ Continuing to track donations and recipients so we can better understand and respond to community needs.

What we are NOT doing:
🚫 Taking individual orders or filling requests on demand.
🚫 Tolerating harassment or theft — and yes, that includes stealing hummingbird feeders (we’re still baffled by that one!).

Our hope is to once again secure bulk food donations (full pallets!) so we can reach as many pets and families as possible, easing burdens and preventing unnecessary suffering.

If you’re able to help us obtain large-scale donations or have storage space to offer, please reach out — we’d love to partner with you.

🚨Urgent Call for Pet Pantry Donations🚨

Our community is facing a serious challenge due to the ongoing SNAP benefit crisis, and many families are struggling to feed not only themselves but also their beloved pets. The APARC Pet Pantry provides free cat and dog food—and other essential pet items when available—to help keep pets with the families who love them.

While we recognize that there may be some relief ahead with current legislation being passed, families need immediate help. The damage has already been done—the uncertainty, risk, and stress of not knowing whether there will be food on the table, even temporarily, has left many in crisis.

Right now, our shelves are running low, and we need immediate help to restock for both Clark County and Franklin County (and any surrounding county community members needing help).

Sister was spayed yesterday thanks to our Operation OOPS program! Let's all wish her well as she heals up! ❤

We're so thankful that her family followed our advice, and waited for us to find a foster home for her four pups a few months ago!

If you'd like to help us keep our Operation OOPS program open you can donate the following ways:

Venmo: https://tinyurl.com/2h5nkd3m
Cashapp: https://cash.app/$aparcohio
PayPal: https://tinyurl.com/yvbm9ffa
You can also donate directly to our account with our wonderful veterinarian Urbana Veterinary Clinic.

We also are trying to buy 400 doses of dewormer! (We know, that sounds like a lot but we REALLY believe in deworming our cats and dogs!)

If you're interested in our Operation OOPS program, please send us a message.

❤ UPDATE ❤

Look how good this momma is looking now, thanks to all of your kind donations! They still have 2 bags of food, left, thank you again! Plus, these four pups are all looking for fosters! ( https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/OHAP/Dog )

We are hoping to raise $365 ( https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=LTAYEV9XAJ344 ) to buy more dewormer (two different types) so that we can make sure this family, and the family with 10 pit/sherpherds, can all be nice and healthy!

Or check out this post about how to donate via Facebook, or donate supplies! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16DYGxdxqj/

💞 This little family could really use some love!

These four sweet souls are just starting out, and we’re doing everything we can to help them begin their life healthy, happy, and safe. That means vaccines (three rounds!), deworming (twice at least!), microchips, and spay/neuter surgeries — plus plenty of good food, cozy beds, and gentle care while they grow.

It’s a big job, but together, we can make it happen. 🌟
Even a dollar helps more than you know — every bit of kindness adds up for them. 💕

Thank you everyone that's donated!

So far we've raised $328.50 and have had 3 bags of kibble, and 2 cases of wet food donated! (If our Amazon wishlist is telling the truth lol)

These 8 are the ones that have drained their poor momma dry. And just look at how big they already are! They were born September 9th, and will be looking for foster/foster-to-adopt homes in 4 weeks.

Do Good Recklessly

Anything's Pawsible – Animal Resource Center (APARC) was formed by Katherine Stewart and Miranda Lloyd, two women who wholly embrace the phrase “DO GOOD RECKLESSLY” both in their actions and mentality. Katherine (Kat) is the shelter manager for a local dog shelter which handles countless cruelty cases, and Miranda is a volunteer for multiple rescues/shelters along with managing a large Facebook based community that focuses on reuniting lost and found animals with their owners; although they have seen many heart-wrenching situations involving the mistreatment of animals both Kat and Miranda believe in the inherent good around them. Their belief is that with community involvement, and compassion no problem is insurmountable; some issues may take longer to correct, but that does not mean that the situation cannot be changed if true effort is made to change it. So please do not let the possibility that someone is not as altruistic as yourself endanger your compassion – strive to do good recklessly!

APARC is still in it's infancy and at this time is primarily handling cats both through TNR of feral community cats and care for injured and orphaned cats which are then placed up for adoption; but; intends on handling dogs as soon as they are able to obtain a facility properly equipped to safely harbor and handle dogs.
