It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved W***y, originally known as Falkor, who crossed the rainbow bridge on December 10, 2025.
W***y had a larger-than-life personality packed into a little body—made even smaller by a leg amputation shortly before coming into our care. He adored car rides, had a talent for “running away” straight to the car, and loved nothing more than his people. His journey wasn’t an easy one, with several failed adoptions along the way, including one that lasted nearly a year. But in the end, W***y found exactly where he belonged. When he returned to his foster family, they knew without a doubt that he was home for good—and they became his forever.
While we may never know what W***y’s life looked like before he found his final family, we do know that he was deeply loved in his last chapter. That was his happily ever after, and we will always be grateful to the family who gave him that gift. Our hearts are with them as they grieve, and we hope they find comfort in the many joyful memories they shared.
W***y was truly one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed.
For those who wish to honor W***y’s memory, donations made in his name will help us continue our mission of giving animals like him the chance to find love, safety, and family. If you’d like to contribute, here are different ways to do so:
