Working on texturing a nose pad. Noses are often left as flat skin on many mounts, but we like to take the time to texture the nose pad to give it that full, lifelike appearance. Once fully textured, we’ll move on to painting!

This euro was done by my friend Tracy Grzeskowiak at European Skull Cleaning in Loveland Colorado. However… we got to make replicas of desert bighorn sheep! That’s what we’ll be using on her mount so she can also keep her euro! We’re really excited for this project as it’s our first time doing something like this. This is how we help preserve your memories and give you even more to enjoy and show to your family and friends.

Sanding down a skull cap to ensure a precise and solid fit as I secure this to the form. I’m always double checking my measurements from the back of the eye orbit to the base of the pedicle from when the animal was dropped off to ensure an accurate fit. This is just one of the ways we ensure your mount is as close to the real deal as possible!

We LOVE aoudads! They’re such a unique and awesome critter. Congrats to Chad C. on a successful hunt! We did an aoudad shoulder mount for Chad a few years ago, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve him again and preserve the memories of his hunt in this beautiful euro.

One horn is the real one and one is the replica! Can you tell the difference between them?! This one had some really detailed coloring and patterns that are difficult to match, but were pretty excited with how it turned out!

Don’t lose sight of your fitness in the off season! (See what I did there? 😜) Here’s a cheap and fast workout: pick up a 60 lb sandbag from the hardware store, strap it to your pack and do 100 squats at least 3x per week. You can use it to ruck with too!

With Christ, our sufferings are never in vain. No matter what you’re going through, God will work everything out for good for those who love him!

Another way to look at this verse is that it can be good to willingly subject ourselves to some suffering (e.g. the gym, cold submersion, etc) as it produces positive results in us.

Whether your suffering is unavoidable or chosen, choose to respond to it positively and use it to make you better! It’s not easy, but you’ll be all the stronger for it: in your faith, and in strength of mind and body.

Give yourself the best chance for success, don’t go cheap on glass!

If all you can see is a few tines sticking up over a hill, great glass can make or break your ability to identify a good buck or bull. Good glass provides the best visibility especially during the first/last 30 minutes of legal light.

We’ve heard so many people say goose isn’t worth eating but we 100% disagree. Goose breast should be cooked medium rare (medium at the most) just like a steak. Wendy made an orange ginger sauce with a touch of maple syrup to go with it and it was delicious! 🤤

Man! This elk was so big we literally couldn’t get an angle to get him completely in the frame! He’s a beautiful animal, and one we think our client will enjoy for years to come! This is what it’s about… the adventure, the story, and the memories you get to relive as you look at your mount!

Another one went home this weekend! There’s so much more to any mount than just the inches it scores. There’s the hunter, the prep, the scouting, the days in the field, who you’re with, etc! At the end of the day, we firmly believe that the inches are in the story, and that your story should be one for the record books! Congrats Marty on a great story, and what also happens to, likely, be a record book elk! It was a pleasure working in this one!
