Having two gorgeous, massive dogs comes with massive amounts of cleaning...and not just from the hair. This is the hallways where they come through and they always rub and leave hair and marks across it.

Growing up, I had a horse, a dog, and bunnies. My parents would help out and guide us but it was our responsibility to care for those sweet, living and breathing animals and to put them first and those are some of the most valuable days that had such a lasting impression on how to treat others.

These girls love their doogos and, although they don’t necessarily love cleaning after them (and we still do the fair share), I am determined to teach them the lessons my parents taught me and to be raised as capable kids for the future!

HOW OFTEN DOES EVERYONE SWEEP?!

For real. I need to know this 😂 this sweet little puppy face is shedding to prepare for her big girl coat and Odin is at his normal steady rate. All of THAT aside, it’s been raining here....they’ve been naughty outside digging....and between me and my robot sweeper Gail, the floors are getting done about 2x a day 😳🤪

This guy has my heart ❤️ always follows me around the house. If he doesn’t know where I’m at, he searches til he finds me and lays wherever I am, patiently waiting for me to move to the next spot or to give him love. He adores when Lexi shares her beloved blankies with him when she covers him up. He’s obedient to Bella and will put himself between her and Freya if the puppy is in a bitey mood. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful, loving dogs that help complete our family 🖤🖤🖤😌

Girl, I FEEL YOU. It’s an exhausting week! We had a wedding anniversary, a 6th birthday celebration that included a drive by party, Mother’s Day right around the corner and a vet checkup on Monday. Anyone else ready for the weekend!? 🥰

On today’s “who wore it best”...😂 but only all seriousness, it’s looking SO much better and it definitely is FEELING better too! He still had a bit of itchiness so he still has to wear the cone but I’m so happy it’s on a steady rate to recovery!!!!

Odin is feeling MUCH better this morning....he’s onto the anger portion of hating his cone though 😭😬🤣 for real though, I feel so bad for this guy! He keeps hitting it on doorways, steps, you name it. Here’s to hoping the next two weeks pass by quick 🤞

Just sitting in my car as this guy gets treated at the vet 😭

Last night we noticed Odin really licking in the crotch area but it was very late at night so it was very hard to see anything. Today when I got back from work, my husband and I were able to tag team to try to take a look {massive dog = massive strength} and it looks like a bad hot spot in his nether regions 💔

The vet thinks with the pond swimming something got aggravated and then the licking, and the licking....and more licking.

She has to sedate him to shave down there since due to the licking it’s quite tangled in a very sensitive area, she’s going to do a laser treatment then send home with the cone of shame and antibiotics and steroids. Please pray for our guy! He’s in great hands but my heart is sad for him and I’m quite in shock with how quickly it got raw.

The last picture is his Aunt ( whoworks at the vets office) holding his paw while they help my big guy out. So thankful you’re with him!!!

With all of this said, he is going to go home and be just fine and NOW - for the recommendation!!!!

We have decided that we need to invest in a good dog blower to get the dogs dry after baths, swimming, helping with blowing them out, etc. If you have one you love, please PM me and let me know, I would SO appreciate it!!!!

Friday swims 💕

Freya adores the water and jumps in the second she sees the water. Odin FINALLY warmed up to it and swam a lot today! I love watching these dogs in their habitat!
