Our Basset Hound Story starts in 1989 when I bought my first Basset Hound, Floyd instead of an air conditioner. Good Move!! It changed my life.

Through the years I have noticed the different quality of Basset Hounds. It is our mission to make a better hound available to folks. Soundness, good health, temperament, breed standard. We pay much attention to nutrition. It is our intention to send people home with a happy, healthy Basset Hound puppy. A sick pup will cost you way more in the long run than one that some may feel is a little high priced. A lot goes into putting good and healthy Basset Hound puppies on the ground. Basset Hound nutrition and needs are different from other breeds. It’s really important to stay in touch with your breeder so you will have the most positive experience possible. As breeders we will continually reach out for bloodlines and show points in the lines for continued improvement of the Basset Hound.

Our Bassets are our family. We love them for the individuals they are. We breed ONLY Basset Hounds and for that reason we are able to give total attention to our Bassets. Nutrition is very high on the priority list. From conception our Basset babies are nourished with the very best nutrition has to offer. Moms are on NuVet Plus throughout and as soon as our puppies can begin to eat, NuVet is put into their Formula. This is a supplement that strengthens their immunity.We have eliminated what used to be commonplace ailments in their infancy. So Much is affected with our protocol.

Wormings begin at two weeks of age and every two weeks rotating meds as to remain effective. Vaccinations are up to date and No puppy will leave here before NINE weeks of age.Later if we need be as our first concern is the well being of Your new Baby.

Our puppies are learning to housebreak starting at three weeks old through natural access and instinct. They get their exercise in stages as they develop. Many puppies are about the same but some will vary. So we follow their lead.

When someone takes one of our Bassets home they become part of our family. We want you to have the perfect puppy. Happy and Healthy.

Once you go Basset, you never go back!

Big ears, bigger personalities!

Who can resist that short & stout tough look, while being swoon by those droopy sad eyes, and those long velvety ears??

We know we can't resist it here!!

Aside from their obvious cute-factor, one of the other reasons we love Basset Hounds so much are their unique personalities!

Basset Hounds are a very devoted and intelligent breed, as well as a STUBBORN breed.

Because of their intelligence & persuasive behavior, people often joke that the dog is training them! Be forewarned, they’re not always joking; the dog is making mental notes of your behavior for next time.



And a Basset's sense of smell is amazing, second only to the Bloodhound! Seems they can smell dinner across the acres around here! For this reason, even a well-behaved Basset Hound can easily get distracted by tracking a scent & wander off, so keep track of your Hounds!

Our Bassets are also our family members, enjoying the comforts inside our home right along with us! We believe this is as it should be, breeding or not. Although we intend to add a few to the Pack, it is for that reason you will never see our Pack grow larger than we can comfortably accommodate inside the house with us

Our puppies are kept indoors along with their parents, and are socialized well with our family, to better prepare them for yours. Our youngest three kids are 5, 7 & 13, and love to play with the adult dogs and their puppies, so they are all very used to children. Puppies have also begun paper training and are using a doggie door by the time they go home with you!

Male or Female? How Do I Choose??
Let's face it, there are some breeds of dog out there that are known for their females being more calm, gentle, more nurturing around our own children, and just less likely to be 'high-maintenance' overall. We get that, we've even grown up with them ourselves!

I go by the name Damian Moore R. . I grew up on a small farm with my 4 siblings and my Australian Shepherd – Border Collie mix. She was my very best friend and I just adored her. I never went anywhere without her. She had 3 different litters of puppies.

Her puppies were always SO adorable! I just love puppies and can’t get enough of them! we started looking for a dog small enough to live in the house with us, but we also didn’t want to deal with a lot of shedding. My Wife recommended basset hound because of their excellent nature.

My wife surprised me one day by bringing Ava home and I instantly fell in love. She was very intelligent and was always eager to learn new tricks, which to her means more treats! Within a few short weeks, she eagerly learned to sit, lay down, turn around, beg, jump, and go take a nap.

Having a mix of poodle, which is the second smartest breed, really helps. It is a lot of fun teaching our dogs new tricks! We have also added a new addition to our home, Molly, to give Ava someone to play with when our busy lives take over and they love each other.

They do everything together including sharing their chew toys. I absolutely love our basset hound and enjoy the precious moments when they have puppies and the time I get to spend with their puppies as they curiously explore this new world they’re born into. We strive to breed only the healthiest basset hound with lots of love and attention.

We have a full time “Puppy Nanny” that comes to our house and stays all day while we are at work. We spare no expense making sure our Basset Hound Puppies have the VERY best care!
