It is hard not to let life get the best of us. We are only human after all. But we also need to stop, and appreciate what we do have even in the toughest seasons. We need to remember that if we want change, only we can change it.

Owning horses is an extreme privilege that not many people get to experience. But that doesn’t mean owning a horse is glamorous. It’s hard work. It’s anxiety inducing. But at the end of the day, it is beyond worth it.

Take care of yourself. Take care of your horse. And if you want it bad enough, make it happen!

What’s stopping you?

This is a question I was asked recently when seeking advice. Normally, I would be frustrated getting a question to my question, but this made me pause and reflect.

What is stopping me? Fear? Judgement? Self-doubt?

The answer is all of the above. But at the same time those answers are merely limitations I have put there myself. I cannot necessarily make those feelings I have go away but I can push forward despite them and prove myself wrong.

I encourage everyone to push past the feelings of fear and doubt. Ignore the judgement from yourself and others. And do the damn thing!

If you have something you’re passionate about, treasure it and make it happen because it is what makes you, you!

I may not be the best at my craft, but I will never stop trying, and learning! And I will support anyone that needs it!

So get out there, do the thing, ride the horse, and make it happen! ✨

For anyone that is just getting started or taken some time off and you’re terrified to get back out there, just do it. Do it in spite of your preparation, in spite of your fear, in spite of whatever is holding you back.

Still not sure, get you some friends that won’t let you back out. The friends that will be proud of you whether you run a 16 second pattern or a 26 second pattern. They’re proud because you were scared and did it anyway.

✨Sometimes, the hardest decisions are the ones that set us up for the biggest wins.✨

I had a plan. A vision. A timeline. But sometimes, life throws a curveball, and you have to make the tough call—not because you want to, but because you know it’s what’s best in the long run.

Horses teach us patience, resilience, and trust in the process. This journey isn’t always easy, and it definitely isn’t always on our timeline. But every setback, every sacrifice, and every change of plans is just a step toward something bigger.

So, here’s to adjusting, trusting, and keeping our eyes on the goal—even when it means making decisions we don’t want to make. The dream is still there, and we’re still chasing it.
