IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO PLANT YOUR GARDEN. THERE'S PLENTY OF TIME TO HAVE A HARVEST BECAUSE THE PLANTS ARE READY TO GO INTO THE GROUND. I'm still gerting mine put in too. Some of the plants look sketchy but that's because they are stressed from being in a small container. They will grow quickly and recover once they have more space to spread their roots.
We"re starting to get low and run out of certain varieties but The Proper Avenue Plant Stand has plenty of garden starts available and thank you to everyone that has already made a purchase! I was able to meet two nice ladies from the neighbhood yesterday despite keeping a low profile for the day.

We spent some time today starting seeds for this year's plant sale. Peppers of all sorts and flowers! Then we did some seed saving from last year's zinnia. Watch us make a mess as we blow the chaff from the seeds.

I may have a few plants. 😊 There are 5 chilling outside on the deck still, 5 hanging plants in the liviing room as well as a beautiful hoya hanging in the kitchen. 98 house plants total...if I counted correctly. 🤣 There's so many.

Going on vacation comes with the good and the bad. The gardens are in full production of fruits and flowers .... and weeds. Oh dear, so much work! It's that time of year when my fun space starts to feel like another chore. Better get to work! Happy Evening to you all. 😊

This flower bed, or rather the seeds I bought to start this bed, has been a little frustrating for me. I bought seeds from my local Home Depot for cosmos and the idea was to just broadcast them in this prepared space and see what happened. Well, 4 packs of seeds purchased turned into a dissapointment, 2 of the packs were empty and the other 2 packs had so few seeds that I was truly irritated with myself that I didn't notice the lack of "bulk" in the package. Anyway, I had one of my mini fits, went in the house, grabbed some old packs of zinnia seeds, and broad cast those with my small amount of cosmos seeds. Then, a few days later, I was at TSC and they had cosmo seeds. Their seed packets were fat and plentiful, so I bought a couple of each color and threw them on top of what was already "planted". This is the result! Weeks later, they are starting to show their pretty flowers and also starting to show where I need to plant more. There's a few bapd spots in there. I may extend this garden the whole length of the curb. I'm not sure yet. It's still a work in progress.

I know it isn't plants but it is new to us here. We have finished our new steps. It was our first time building steps and after 7 attemps the 1st picture is what we had. A very strong and sturdy set of well built steps. Then I asked if we could make them longer. Yep, 8 tries. The 2nd picture is what we have now. My husband built them for us. I love them. :)
