Hello Shearing Season..
Those Spring Vibes are getting so real.
Looking forward to seeing everybody 🌻
Ill be starting the rounds at the start next month 😍
🌞Tocumwal rolls into the 20s at the end of the week so I won't be too far behind.
🦄I'll pop up a few tips and tricks as the week goes to get y'all prepped for shearing season.
🌻Newbies- don't be worried about it being your first time. First things first just get your paccas use to feeding in the pen if they aren't already.
I don't use halters unless I absolutely must so don't be concerned if the pacs aren't halter broken.
💁♀️By now most people know how I roll. I'm a solo shearer- I love owners to get involved or if unable- provide somebody who's physically able to help.
⚡️I'm battery operated so can go anywhere but a somewhat flat shearing area is needed.
🚎Car access right by or nearby the pen is required. My van is like my toolbox.
⏰️I can give rough times but as you know when working with animals and the weather they don't really care for appointments. We run on approximate times so flexibility is required.
Stay tuned. Much love and soon less fluff 🦙 ❤️
Video- 2 of my own cuties post shearing last season.
It's only been 4 months since I sheared the last alpaca of the season but it feels like a lifetime
The season starts next month, are you ready? I'm too excited this year 🌻

Yesterday afternoon I finished my jobs earlier than I expected so got to see my own main mob of cuties for their shots. They were shorn at the start of March so on my schedule, a little overdue..but not too late! I give them the same as I offer everybody's alpacas- Vitamin ADE, Phos and the multimin oral which you can see that my Gracie at the front is saving a little for later 🤣 #alpaca #alpacas #alpacalove
I thought you guys might appreciate some baby spam for your Sunday evening. Mums and bubs are all doing awesome...they obviously don't have to do much to get my attention 😂🥰
Feeding time at the zoo. For everybody at work having alpaca withdrawals ❤️ I know I do
Some little baby Opie to help get you through another week of lockdown🥰
Today was trimming all my goats tootsies at home, I tell them they got new shoes but they don't even care..all they want is their chaff 😂
Along with toe trimming which my goats generally only need approx every 4 months (not 6 weeks like some) If needed they get a worm drench- normally something different to the last one they had, and they got a mineral booster to pep them up.
Always have a chat to your vet if your unsure about products to use with your fur fam.
If your goats tootsies need trimming aswell, give me a bell. I'm still visiting doing shots, toe trimming and the rest of the basic winter care for goats, sheep and alpacas of course.
A little bit of baby spam...because who doesn't love cria 🥰
Last week before the rain we popped the last female on the table for shearing and immediately knew she was close to popping. We made sure she was comfy and got to work quickly so she could be back on her feet again, in less than a week this little darling graced us with his arrival from the last shorn lady. A slow bloomer, he was taking a long time to get on his feet, we don't normally interfere with mum and bub but in this situation we had to. With some assistance he's now up and about with mum. This is his post breaky face 😍, clearly pretty happy with his mums milk. She's a wonderful mum and happy for our assistance with bub.
I filmed this at our lunch break yesty when they were all having a chat while waiting to get shorn. They're the coolest 🥰
