I am at peace.

Thank you all for the support you've given my family, they are hurting and miss me terribly. Daddy was with me the whole way, and I wasn't scared a bit. Mom and Ali were with me, too, and I got lots of scritches and love on my way to start my next journey.

Today was a goodish day.

I woke with no appetite, but agreed to eat the can of wet food after Daddy broke it up into pieces...but only a lil bit.

I finally got up and ate the rest a few hours later. Daddy mixed a can with kibble, and asked me to eat that if I got hungry. Why? If I don't, you'll give it without the kibble. I will be stubborn and wait for the kibble-free canned food.
..until I ate it because I got hungry.

Tail a waggin' when MaMas got home. Potty and water and kitchen floor naps.

And now I can hardly move. I didn't even have the strength to stand for dinner, and only ate half with MaMas help. So good a start, so fast it went by. Now I need more sleep. We have the vet tomorrow, and maybe the start of a new journey.

I'm tired.

All I want is sleep. Sure, I'm tail wags and bright eyed first thing in the morning after a good sleep, but really, I'm just exhausted for the rest of the day. I get winded getting a drink.

And I hurt. Oh, my aching hips. I can't even hop to my favorite perch any more. Daddy even carries me to bed at night so I don't jump and hurt myself. (Still the best sleep ever, with him and MaMas). Most days, I just want to lay down by my water bowl and nap between drinks, just so I don't have far to move.

And I can't even eat that kibble. Daddy's been getting me soft can food to make sure I eat, but I'm just not that hungry. Even for treats.

Daddy says it's time. And that I've been his best friend. He promises he will be with me the whole way, and that soon it won't hurt anymore. He wants me to rest, and to save my strength for scritches and cuddles from the people who come to say goodbye.

Actually, I've been feeling a bit better since I made this post. MaMas says she isn't sure anymore, and wants a vet to see me. Daddy was able to get an appt for Thursday morning.

Me? I'm thirsty and I ache, so I lay by my water dish. Until Daddy says 'Enough is enough' and moves me to my favorite chair. Either way, I sleep until I'm thirsty, and repeat. Sometimes I take the steps, sometimes I stand and stare down them until Daddy carries me. Boy, I love to keep them guessing.

Thursday. Stay upbeat until Thursday. I can do this.

I'm sorry if anyone has missed me. Too tired to post. Being an ol' man takes the energy out of you, and I'm trying to save up for my sixteenth birthday on the 1st.

Soooo tired.

Today was a good day. I got to see Summer, Autumn, and Taffy, and we walked around together and I ate their food.

I'm pooped. And not inside of a shoe, either.
..I think Autumn and I are a thing, now.

I'm alive. I'm not happy.

Doggie next door at the vets kept barking and scratching at me. He started it. I bit at him...
..and broke my fang on the cage! (Right after my fresh breath nap, too!)

Daddy says I have to go back in two weeks and have it removed by Dr. Dan.
..which means another day with no breakfast. :(

Daddy took me and Max to the vet last week. I get something Max has to wait for! Something called "dental surgury". Daddy says I go in Thursday morning!
