Miss Bee has another vet appointment scheduled for recheck her bloodwork, specifically her kidney values. She gets fluids daily and a packet of Purina Hydracare plus prescription renal care food. Despite our efforts, Bee's kidney disease seems to be progressing and she has lost most of her eyesight. She did a lot of healing since she came to us and we are not ready to give up on her. We will be snuggling her tighter and making sure "her" chair and pillow are always available to her. Please keep her in your pawrayers!

Maggie had her vet appointment yesterday. The doctor confirmed her funnel chest is mild enough she does not require surgery. She has an ulcer in her left eye and will most likely need lubricating eye drops daily for the remainder of her life - luckily she tolerates it well. She is also now on antibiotics for her URI. She has a recheck in 2 weeks. (don't worry, she only rode on my shoulder through half of our subdivision, she traveled in her hard carrier.)

Thank you to those of you who are sharing our page with fellow feline friends! I am hoping to have more time to share our hospice and foster adventures now that we no longer have a litter of puppies running the show. 😅

Magnolia aka Maggie has arrived from transport yesterday. She is such a sweetheart and was quick to sit in my lap. She has an eye infection, although her eye will never be "normal" looking. She also has pectus excavatum (funnel chest, a chest bone deformity), an eye infection and an upper respiratory infection. She has an appointment at our vet. Please cross your fingers for us that she does not need surgery for her sternum.

**New Walter's Wish Cats**

An important note: As a former vet tech, it is of utmost importance to me that all animals in our care are kept healthy and safe. I wanted to make sure everyone understands that while we have had many fosters over the summer and will continue to do so, that we exercise caution when introducing and/or separating animals.

For example, Summer and her kittens have not and will not come into contact with our cats. She has not been vaccinated or tested. This keeps everyone safe. The same goes for the puppies. We currently have Summer and her kittens in our downstairs office where I can dote on them separately from everyone. The puppies will remain separated from Wyatt until they have completed their vaccinations. They will also potty in an area away from where Wyatt goes. I am never not cleaning and we go through more cleaning supplies than I can keep track of. 😅

Wyatt, Rylee's puppy, is now just over 12 weeks old. I can't believe how fast he is growing. It's hard to remember how tiny he was.

We have 2 blue heeler puppies coming to us today from Indiana that are around 8 weeks old. My friend found them in a Craigslist ad. The girl is believed to be deaf, which is the reason for the re-homing. They will be kept separately from our dogs until they are fully vaccinated and dewormed.

As always, thank you for the donations. We will now be taking Big Earl and these puppies to the vet. Keeping everyone healthy and happy!

So. Many. Updates.

Summer had 5 adorable, healthy kittens on July 24. Despite looking like a kitten herself, Summer is a great mom. She is even trusting me to handle her kittens. They have just started to open their eyes. Stay tuned - Summer and her kittens will be adoptable through https://felinefinecatrescue.org/

Bee would like everyone to know she is still Queen and will still be demanding the lion's share of our attention.

We are working on getting a "hot mess" medical case to us tomorrow. Earl is a 6 year old with a neurological disorder causing a chronic head tilt, a heart murmur and suspected renal failure.

Miss Bee is so hard to get pictures of. The second she hears me trying to sneak around, she is running to follow me. 😅

Updates: Bee is doing well! She is loving her new hydration packs! Summer looks like she is ready to burst, there have got to be quite a few kittens in there! Rylee’s puppies have found their furever homes! It has been a whirlwind summer for sure.

In Bee’s defense, this is because she can’t see very well. Her eyesight seems to be diminished.
