There is a local canine first aid course coming up from CIP Puppy & Young Dog Training on the 9th March!
These courses are fantastic and I’ve definitely used my first aid skills since starting this job! And it’s great fun too! 🐾

And that’s a wrap! 🎉

Before all the festivities are in full swing, I wanted to reach out and say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for supporting me in building my little business this year.

When I left my banking job in January, I risked everything with a hope that I’d be able to fulfil a dream to work with dogs every day, whilst spending more time with my own dog, and within a really short space of time, I was able to do just that! (Plus allowing me to be a crazy dog woman and rescuing another dog myself!)

Not only were my books closed in less than a month of starting, I was then able to employ Jo to work alongside me and then close hers too!

I never thought I’d be in a job where I look forward to going back to after holidays, but getting to know all your lovely pups, being outside in the fresh air, and getting to know you as owners, truly makes that possible!

From the bottom of my heart, i’d like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas, and a happy new year!

XL BULLY BAN.

For us, as dog lovers and dog walkers, this was a very hard read.

It’s not always the right thing to speak up about controversial subjects, but this is something I feel SO strongly about, I feel like I would be doing my community a disservice by not raising it.

From what I have read on the government website, dogs that are deemed to XL Bully’s are going to be generalised by weight and measurements, rather than their actual DNA, which opens up a HUGE array of problems for dog owners. This could mean that any dog, from a staffie, to a mastiff could be affected, which is just heartbreaking 💔

From doing some research, below are some of the rulings coming into effect:

- Having to apply for an exemption to keep your own pet (at a cost I might add!)
- Having your pet seized from you or your home with no prior notice.
- Having your pet euthanised at a drop of a hat.
- Temperament testing.
- Having to keep your pet on a lead and muzzled for the rest of its life.
- Being offered compensation by the government to euthanise your own dog.
- It is also going to be illegal to re-home an XL Bully type dog, should you fear the changes, leading to huge spikes in euthanasia. 🥲

We love all our doggies, no matter what breed. We are a judgement free zone, always have and always will be. I will always speak up for what I believe in, I believe in responsible breeding, responsible training and responsible owners.

I would like to add that I do not disagree that some breeds are more powerful than others, but it’s knowing what you’ve got at the end of the lead that truly makes the difference.

My heart is breaking. This is cruelty.💔 🐶

The Paige’s pups ‘n’ pals mascot, has a baby brother! Welcome 🥰

Merlin is currently 15 weeks old, and he is a Whippet x Lurcher. Merlin is a rescue pup and we are his 3rd and forever home.

Ralph is pleased as punch with his baby brother and we can’t wait to give Merlín the best life ever! Welcome to the gang! 🐾💜

⭐️ INTRODUCING US ⭐️

I figured after launching almost 6 months ago that it was probably time to formally introduce both myself and Jo and a little bit about the pair of us!

I am Paige, I am local to Tunbridge Wells and live with my Partner, Will and our little Pug Ralph!

I started Paige’s Pups ‘n’ Pals after a long career in banking, and realising that the job that used to make me happy, was actually doing the complete opposite.

One final straw at my job made me realise that something needed to change and after a frank discussion with Will about what I wanted, Paige’s Pups ‘n’ Pals was born.

I have always had a passion for animals, and grown up with them for my whole life, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, tortoises… you name it, I’ve cared for it!

Taking up Dog Walking & Pet Care has been the best decision I’ve ever made, and my little business is going from strength to strength!

I’m extremely grateful for the continued support from all of our existing doggy clients and owners, and for giving me the opportunity to hire an employee, Jo, so that she can continue to offer the same level of care I do, with both existing and new clients!

From Monday, she is full time with us, meaning we have more availability opening up on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Jo is available for both Walks & Pet Sits! 🐾

Thanks again for supporting us, and can’t wait to welcome some new doggy members soon! 🐾

Tonight We bring you some very sad news. 💔 Our gorgeous girl Lucky has sadly passed away.

She was such a funny girl and a true princess. Her sister Rosie is going to miss her so much. Our walks will never be the same. We love you lots Lucky 🍀 ❤️‍🩹 😢

📣 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

I’m so pleased to announce that the Paige’s Pups ‘n’ Pals team is expanding from 1 to 2!

Within the next couple of months, Jo will be joining the gang and working alongside me to care for your furry friends.

I’ve had huge interest in all of my services, especially house sits, and by myself, due to being fully booked, I’m unable to take on any more clients.

Jo will be insured under my insurance, she is DBS checked, Canine First Aid trained, and she loves animals JUST as much as me! 🥰🐾

This means that we are able to start taking enquiries and bookings again! How exciting!
