UPDATE RIO IS STILL MISSING‼️It’s been more than month since Rio went missing. 😔

He snuck out of his Dad’s truck at the Welcome Center in Centreville, Maryland on 10/27/2021.

There have been no positive sightings, or leads to help us locate him. We have feeding stations and cameras set up, and we’ve only trapped a feral cat.

We really believe that someone has him. Rio was used to climbing in and out of the truck with Dad and he would have allowed someone to pick him up.

(((PLEASE))) share this post far and wide because the person who has him was probably just passing through. They likely do not even live in Maryland. Since it happened in the tractor trailer parking lot, it could have been another trucker who assumed he was homeless. Tag any truckers that you know, and ask them to share it to their pages, or any trucking groups they’re in.

Rio’s owner is a truck driver who travels with his two cats. Last week, he woke up at the 301 Rest Stop in Centerville, Md to discover that his beloved cat, Rio, was missing. Through the night, Rio must have stepped on the control to roll down the window.

Rio could still be out there at the truck stop or someone could have picked him up, thinking he was a homeless kitty. Please share this post far and wide so that we can hopefully bring Rio home. His owners are devastated that he hasn’t been found yet.

Unlike most cats, Rio enjoys traveling. He has a wonderful life, spending so much time with his Dad, exploring new places. He’s been doing it since he was a small kitten and Dad took every precaution to keep him safe.

However, the night Rio went missing, on October 27th, Dad forgot to lock the windows before going to sleep. While Rio was checking out the sights around them, he must have accidentally stepped on the window control. Rio was gone in the morning when Dad woke. 😔

Dad spent several hours looking for him with no luck. Rio is a friendly guy and he most likely greeted another trucker or traveller, they thought he was a homeless kitty, and they took him with them.

We are trying to get as many people as possible to share his page, share his story, and help bring Rio home. If you have any leads, please let us know!

Rio is not from Centreville, Md… he’s from Ohio and was just passing though.

*Last seen at Bay Country Welcome Center off of Rt 301 in Centerville, Maryland on 10/27/21.
