So we have had multiple birthdays since March 1st and are just now celebrating. So enjoy pics of Bella, Charming and Shadow enjoying their "birthday cake"

Bella turned 3 on March 1st
Charming turned 3 on April 1st
And Shadow turned 1 today!!!

Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 my babies!

To tell you how spoiled they are Shadow would not eat his canned food out of a bowl so I literally had to feed it to him with a fork 🤦‍♀️🤣. I put the canned food on the fork and he sat there and ate it. Wish I could have gotten pictures but I was too busy keeping the rest away haha 😄.

Shadow and Itty Bitty: brother and sister from two separate litters. These two are miracles all their own. Back on December 11, 2021, there was a violent tornado 🌪 outbreak across the heartland of America. There were numerous 🌪 but the biggest one was called the quad state tornado 🌪. It went through Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky. It was huge. It killed many and left a path of death and destruction for hundreds of miles. The story of Shadow and Itty Bitty come from Mayfeild, Kentucky. Where the tornado went directly through. A lady there lost everything. She was going to ride it out with her 9 cats. Long story short after the tornado she lost 3 babies, and she needed to rehome 4 so she could keep the two original. Two went to her daughter. And Shadow and Itty Bitty were left. Shadow is 3 months older and Itty is the runt of her litter hence her name she is really small for her age. And she is not expected to get any bigger so we will always have a kitten sized baby in the house. We suspect they will always be terrified of storms. They have the same parents but are from two different litters. Anyway she reached out to the local TV station with her story for help on to rehome them. I saw it late one night on their page and reached out. She contacted me the next day and told me we could have them. They were being held in a vet clinic in Illinois. So we drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to pick them up. They are so sweet. Shadow loves to cuddle. Itty has been scared to get close to us up to this point but we are not giving up on her. She is getting better as the time goes.

Gracie: American short hair. Gracie has a story all of her own. We were given her past owners name through our vet. She needed a pet sitter for Gracie. It was against our better judgment to take her on at the time because she said she was in the process of trying to move. Anyway the first time we sat for Gracie we could tell what kind of pet parent she was already. Gracie was decalwed and aloud to go outside. She had a pet door for her so she could come and go as she pleased. Gracie is a very small cat so it would have been nothing for a large hawk to carry her off. But she didn't care we actually said something like that to her before she went out of town the first time what if something happens to her while she is outside, she shrugged her head and said oh well. No big deal. Anyway. She put the house up for sale while she was gone the first time we watched Gracie, in the process it sold. The second time we watched her she wasn't gone very long but when she came back the trouble started. She wanted help packing so my mom helped her pack, mom told her board Gracie at the vet till moving day. That way she is not stressed out. Did she. Nope. Moving day comes she puts Gracie in her carrier and in the car but doesn't zip the carrier 🤦‍♀️. She opens the car door Gracie gets out of the car. She calls us frantic that she got away and won't come back. Meantime she calls the fire department 🚒 they are literally searching the woods behind her old house for her. We are looking everywhere for her and where is the old owner?? Telling us she has to leave her behind because she has got to go. It's moving day and she can't be late. But she wasn't just moving to another house in town, no she was moving out if state, half a country away. She told us when we found her if we found her we could ship her to her. Well we found her, took her to the vet to make sure we wasn't hurt. Kept her, till she came back to Missouri because we were NOT shipping her anywhere. She eventually came back and decided that it wouldn't be fare to take Gracie away from us because she was happy. So she permanently came to live with us. A few months later she tried to take her away from us again saying she missed her. But we told her she is ours now, you gave up ownership. You can't have her back now.

friends 🙂👋 Hope everyone is doing well. Time for some more pet introductions!! So you are probably wondering about the cat on this pages background picture. Why on earth is he Grey and orange? Well let me introduce you to Theophyllis. Short for Theo. I adopted Theo on 2/9/2021 from the local shelter. They posted a picture of him just as you see him here orange and Grey saying his previous owners and dyed him orange 🤯😡🤬 this automatically enraged me, but I also automatically fell in love with this sweet boy. I didn't hesitate I called the shelter and told them I wanted to meet him. At the time his name was KJ. Afterwards I texted my mom his picture and said I am going to meet this boy this afternoon at such and such time do you want to come with? Either way I was probably most likely going to adopt him! The story they had online about him was they dyed his fur for fun. But the more I learned about Theo the more I got pi**ed off 😤. Theo had been dyed orange and used for DOG FIGHTING!!!! Yes you read that right. He was put in a ring with most likely another cat who was dyed another color and two dogs. And there were bets placed on which color cat survived and which one didn't. 😡😤! My Theo survived and somehow got out so I don't want to know what happen to the other baby 💔! When I got Theo he was full of scratches and I'm sure some were old bites. He was terrified 😨 to death of dogs. Matter of fact when he would just see a dog or hear one bark he would crawl into my arms and shake. I always say if I find the people who did this to him I'll be looking good in orange because it will take everything to keep me off of them!! He is the sweetest boy. He gives the best head bonks. He mows all the time at us, talks all the time at us and talks back to us. Loves to sit by us or on our laps. He is one of the best boys ever! However because of the dye he is going to have life long health problems. He has digestive and belly problems if we don't keep him on two certain medications daily he gets diarrhea. Again like I said for the other babies we will do anything to provide for our babies but it should have never have come to this. The orange dye is all gone now but it took a whole year to fade away, like our vet thought it would. A whole year of Theo bathing himself, licking that dye, making him sick 😫.

Charming: Birthday is April 1st. And he is a full blooded Russian blue baby. Charming was not planned at all. Charming was at a pet expo put on by our local shelter. We had no intentions of adopting at this expo; we just went to support our vets office and look around at all the different booths. However, the second I saw baby Charming I had to have him, I fell in love. He was about 8 weeks old and ready for a new home. We had recently lost a Russia blue earlier and we knew at some point we wanted another one. We both said that day if they had one there we were in trouble 🙃 ! Guess we were in trouble from the start. We adopted him without even thinking twice. And he came home with us that day. He can be Charming like the name suggests, however he can also be a butt head. In his short 2 years of life he has eaten through 5 Christmas trees while they have been plugged in and turned on. Numerous phone cords also while plugged in and charging the phones. His nicknames are baby blue and butt nugget. We love him dearly. ❤️

Romeow: (Romeo) Romeow was found on a cold December night. We already had two orange tabby cats and we loved them dearly but between them both we decided we would never have anymore because they have a lot of health problems and ours have attitudes 😂 ! We actually decided that day we would never have anymore orange tabby cats.... Again you ever make plans and hear God laugh??? Pretty sure he did that night because not no 3 hours later enter Romeow 😂! It was around 10pm on December 1st and in Missouri it was actually cold for once on a December night. I was going out to my car and I saw him. He ran from under my car and I called to him, I had never seen him before with the other outdoor strays we have so I thought well I'll call to him and see if he comes. Sure enough he came right to me. So I knew right then and there he had to belong to someone. I was able to pick him up and bring him into the garage for the night to get him out of the cold. He was so sweet, started kneeding, purring, we bedded him down for the night and I put out feelers for his owner. No one claimed him so we took him to our vet and got him checked out and he came to live with us. Shortly after he started living in the house we noticed he had a pretty big tumor on his right side that needed to be removed. Thankfully it wasn't cancer 🙌!!! But he also started spraying on everything 😭 we knew this was what probably landed him outside. We refused to give up on him. We talked to our vet and got him put on some meds that helped with his attitude and eventually he calmed down. Then he would only p*e on something when he got mad at one of us for clipping his claws or something of that nature. However we have learned his habits and have worked with him and refused to give up on him. He is fat and sassy now, gives head bonks, purrs, loves to give love and cuddles on the couch all night long. Will sleep beside you in bed. I don't know who gave him up but their loss is our gain!

Bella Marie: Originally her name was Bell. She was a special case and we saved her from a life that would have in the long run been bad for her. Bella was rescued by an acquaintances daughter at the local animal shelter. She desperately wanted a cat, however she adopted her then directly left her and went off to college and never saw her again. She left Bella with her dad, who worked out of town on the railroad. He would be gone for weeks at a time and Bella would have to fend for herself. He would leave food and water and a clean box, but by the time he came home, she was out of food and water for Lord only knows how long, whenever rescued her she was skin and bones. Now when she eats she acts like its her last meal. So we know she was starving. The kicker was she was under a year old and he was feeding her dog food because he didnt want to by dog and cat food. Cats need kitten food because there is a protein in the food they need to help them grow properly. Bella did not get that protein. He also had her decawed because she was tearing up the furniture, my guess she was bored. In the time we have had her she has never once touched a stitch of furniture. Once we found out the conditions Bella was living in and that she was basically starving while he was gone we offered to "foster" her till his daughter came back to get her. The day I met Bella, she was scared to death. I was still getting over the loss of my boo bear Toby Ryan and she was in her shell. I think we saved each other in a way. She warmed up to me immediately and we became inseparable. I knew right then and there she was no longer going to be a foster cat, the daughter showed no interest in getting her back, and furthermore she just left her behind. Plus the way she was taken care of it would be a cold day in hell before she left our house. She is now a sweet girl. She loves her canned cat food, although when she eats every meal she still acts like it is her last 😭 I'm afraid that will never change. She loves to cuddle and she is a total sweetheart. Because of her being fed the dog food and not getting the proper nutrients when a kitten she now has permanent health problems that will be with her the rest of her life. She is on meds for them every day. Which does get expensive, but we manage, there is not much we wouldn't do for our babies.

Ariel Grace: 8/7/12 is the day she found us! She was about 4 weeks old as the time. We still lived in the mobile home park. The neighborhood kids took her from her mother and left her at our place, since we were known in the neighborhood as the "cat ladies". I came home from voting, and little Ariel crawled out of the dog house we had set up for the strays. She was so small. She had a very hard start. When the kids grabbed her they grabbed her by the tail and broke her tail, she was also covered in ringworm. This resulted in her getting baths every day for months to look the ringworm. She eventually lost the tip of her tail that was broken because the ringworm. She does not like any of our other cats very much, she is starting to get a long with a couple of them. She does like getting love from me and my mom.

Hope Ann: 13 will be 14 this year! American shorthair kitty from Fluffys litter. Hope is probably our least problematic kitty of them all, I don't think she has ever been sick, she normally likes to stay to her self. She likes to get loves from us when it is her idea, she loves to fool us into giving her belly rubs, but as soon as we do she bites us 😂 she is a silly girl and we love her! Her brother Jake loves to pick on her.

Lizzie Lou: 13, will be 14 this year on her birthday. Longhair Tortoiseshell. Looks almost identical to Fluffy. We call her Fluffys look a like or mini me. She has also lived a very uneventful life with little to no problems!! She does have some tude going on I will say that about her. If she doesn't like another cat she will scream like the world is ending. As she has gotten older like her momma and her brother Jake she is also on thyroid meds. Her go to nick name is Lizard. 🤷‍♀️

Onyx Ann: 13 years young- 14 this year. Black short haired baby. She is a total sweet heart. Also out of Fluffy's litter. The only solid black baby out of the group. She loves to cuddle with us, especially at night on the couch while watching tv. She has been a healthy cat her whole life!! She was recently diagnosed with back pain so she has been put on gabapentin twice a day for that. But the pain meds seem to be helping her. She got the back pain from her daddy. We adopted him to!!

Jacob Allen: 13 will be 14 this year, born 6/28/08. Jake was the only boy born out of Fluffys litter of kittens. He is named after a friend of mine that I lost in school. Jake is our little lion he is a long haired orange tabby. We call him our little lion because every winter especially when he was younger he would grow a big mane. It would get all floofy, and he would puff out. Jake has had a few problems in his short life. But he is a fighter none the less. He had a battle with pancreatitis that made him real sick and landed him in the hospital for over a week 🥺, then and we are still not sure how he pulled this one off but he broke his jaw!! 🤷‍♀️ The bottom part of his jaw had to be wired shut for nearly 4-6 months if I am correct because it would not heal properly. Other then these two problems he is overall healthy. Like his momma he is also on daily thyroid meds. He also has many nick names but the one he goes by most is Bubba Luv. ❤

Fluffy Sue (aka Bunny): (15 years young) Little Fluffy came to us on a hot Missouri summers day. Back in 2008 we lived in a mobile home park, and they are known for kitty dumping. It took us a couple of tries to get Fluffy to trust us. However once she did we learned real fast she was a sweetheart. Fluffy is a Tortoiseshell long haired beautiful baby. When she came to us she was for the most part taken care of other then being well under fed. She was so thin we probably could have seen through her if it wasnt for her being pregnant!! My mom made the ultimate decision to take her in out of the heat so she would not have those babies outside. So we took her to the vet to make sure she was healthy, and had and xray done to tell us she was having 5 babies!! ( We already had 3 at home, who have all past on now) so we made the decision that Fluffy would have the babies and once they were weened we would find them all homes and keep Ms. Fluffy. Well you know that saying you make plans and you make God laugh? He chuckled softly at us when we made that plan for sure. Fast forward to the day Fluffy gave us 5 beautiful babies, we named them Jake, Lizzie, Mira, Hope, and Onyx. 3 weeks into nursing them she got mastitis and could no longer nurse her babies, so that naturally means my mom and I took over feeding and stimulating them every 2-3 hours for the next 3 weeks. We were tired for sure but we would do it all over again!! Well now of course after spending all this extra time with the kittens we fell more and more in love with them. As you can imagine it was impossible to adopt any of them out at this point. So we made the ultimate decision to keep them all!! ❤ Our home and hearts were full!!

Hello 😺👋 I wanted to welcome everyone to our new page. "Who saved who? Our purrrfect Family." This page focuses around the fur babies my mom and I have saved over the years. My mom (Becky) and myself (Rachel) have always loved animals but we have devoted our lives to rescuing cats. This page will tell you about each of our babies and their stories and a little about how they came to live with us, the situations we rescued them from, how they have thrived and done since being with us. The good times and the sad times. Right now we have 13 babies in our care and we love them all so much! Each and everyone of them are our kids and we love them dearly. I can't wait for you to get to know them and love them as much as we do!! ❤ It will take time as I get our page up and going but I will post a new story about a different baby as often as I can. Please share this page with as many people as you can we welcome the positive followers!
