Play with your dogs. I cannot ever stress this enough! Make your dogs life fun and new as much as you can. I make sure to play with my dogs every day, not just leave them to entertain themselves all the time. I enjoy making toys as much as a reward as treats, the same for praise. It is so important to make sure you’re meeting each specific dogs stimulation needs, as well as just taking the time to enjoy your dog and goof off with them.

I post my poodles a lot, but I started with collies 💕 my loves, Briar and Gatsby. I frequently use them as demo dogs with clients and love watching everyone fall in love with them as I educate about the breeds.

SDIT Zion doing Lowes during his day train today! He’s learning to walk nicely on a hands free leash (attached to flat collar), the slip lead is extra measure that wasn’t even really needed today! He rocked it through quite a few distractions. I’m so in love with this dog.

Service dog Sandal at Renfest with me today ❤️

Sandal is a solid 4 year old fully trained service dog. He is for my autoimmune disease and other ailments. He wears boots to all events like this so his feet stay protected, as well as making sure to have so much water for him and taking shade breaks. I’m so proud of him every time we go out, especially to big things like this. I love him so much.

The one who started it all, Gatsby ❤️

Gatsby is a 4.5 year old border collie who came into my life when I didn’t know I needed him. I had just had my heart broken by having my service dog prospect, Arcadius, dying at 14 weeks old due to no fault of me or him. It was traumatic. And hard. And Gatsby was shown to me a few weeks later as I still needed a service dog.

I knew nothing about border collies. I had spent all that time researching poodles. But he was a perfect fit for me. He made me a better trainer. He made me get into sports like agility and have the passion to teach him everything I possibly could. He had natural alerts that I carefully tracked and he made it known he was my dog.

Gatsby is the reason I decided to go to school to be a dog trainer. I had found a passion for dog behavior, and then a passion for helping people have the ability to have a service dog. The Rainbow Dog was born.

Gatsby is still my main man and my heart dog. He works part time now (because I ended up needing mobility, so I also work a standard poodle named Sandal). He works full time at home and is my shadow and my world.

I love all my dogs, but I have to give a small shout out and background to how this business started, and how it all started with Gatsby.

Day Training:

-Have you dog come stay with us for the day getting hard work on manners without having to sleep without them at night ❤️ we work on whatever hard spots you guys need and send videos/homework at the end of the day

Board and Train: *2 Week Minimum*

-Your dog gets round the clock training, fun and socialization! We work on manners, obedience, tricks, and overall making your puppy as happy/trained as they can be. Pictures and videos sent daily/every other day. Free one hour session included at the end to show you what we worked on and go over new plan for going home!
*Service Dogs in Training will go out to do some public access and task work as well*

Fun at the Farm: *One Week a Month, inquire about dates*

-For one week every month we go on an adventure to Manassa to work with OMG Poodles and her dogs. It’s 27 acres with livestock such as horses, goats, chickens and rabbits. The week is filled with socialization and desensitization to livestock and other small animals. They will be trained around other dogs as well as any obedience needed. We bring along 2 clients each time, so slots fill up quick.
