There are countless options when it comes to buying eggs—but how do we know which are the best eggs? A nutritionist breaks it down.
This is so true lol!

The ugly truth about REAL homesteading: our kitchens are dirty, there's sand on our floors, there's junk in our yards, the grass is overgrown, there may be turkeys sleeping on our windshields, there's p**p in the coops, and the projects are never, ever complete. We're busy like you can't even imagine, and we're usually covered in dirt and sweat behind the camera. We can never expand fast enough and it just seems we can't keep up. It's SO much, but somehow, we all love it and just can't get enough!! 😁

90% of a regular egg-producing hen's diet should be made up of regular seed mixes or layer pellets. But, the remaining 10% can be made up of healthy table scraps and other superfoods, bolstering their overall health and wellbeing.
After all, it's up to us backyard chickens farmers to provide only the best for our chooks so that they can continue with their busy schedules!
Check out the best healthy table scraps you should include in your chicken's regular diet!

Today we put our giant tarp over the chicken/duck runs. It was quite the job! I bought white to match their coop and repel the sun 🌞. Best tarp we've ever bought!! Thick and HEAVY. We won't buy any from anyone else. These are the best! Now they are shaded and won't get wet. We are always trying to extend and improve our pens for our animals. It really does take time and lots of $$$. Nothing is cheap these days. Thanks for visiting the page!!
Well we've added some enclosures. One for the Peacocks and one for transitioning new birds into the flock.

PEANUT IS READY TO GO TO A NEW HOME! He needs a forever home, he's already been through allot. He's about a year old, unsure of breed, he's medium sized, with lots of love to give!! There will be a rehoming fee. A little video update on the rescue I took in. Peanut got to go out on the grass, loved it 💕 He's doing great so far, no signs of illness, and he's so very lovable!!
