Update on Leonard (Leo)💙
He's staying another night at the vet. He was on fluids, but has now come off of them because his fever has gone down!
He was given pain medication and an antibiotic for infection.
In the morning, they are going to sedate him to clean his wound and neuter him!

UPDATE: He is at the vet. His arm is in very rough shape.

In route to get this cat abandoned by owners. It has a collar grown into its body.
Headed straight to the vet because the wounds look pretty rough.

Hi everyone this is a post I was beginning to think we’d never see. Lydia was adopted yesterday!
Today she is getting comfortable and living the best life in Tennessee!

We rescued 25 cats since Lydia, and we had Lydia 208 days.
That’s 17,971,200 seconds and they were all spent loving and enjoying her! Lydia will be so missed, but we are so exited to see all her new beginnings!

Here we are again beyond capacity. 😞
What are you supposed to do when they find you? Well I know what most people would do, but I just can’t turn my head.
So we currently have 5 cats in the rescue. We don’t like to open a third crate, but sometimes we have too.

The first two cats pictured are on stray hold. If you recognize them please reach out!!!
If not they will be fixed and ready for adoption soon.

Anyone in Barbourville missing a tabby cat?
I’ve secured it in a crate at my school I’ll be taking it home with me.
I’d love to have it fixed and returned to the owner!!

Must identify gender, collar color, and show pictures/Vet records.

If you have seen the cat at my school please don’t give out its information, I’m requesting identifying info to ensure it gets returned to the right person!

Bobby and Joseph were neutered yesterday!
They are home and doing very well!

It doesn’t feel like they should be big enough to be fixed!

Have you ever looked into the eyes of a tiny kitten and seen somone else’s future? I have and today I did once again. When I look at these sweet boys I see their future family that loves them endlessly. I see the kids that can’t put them down. I see the dad that didn’t want a cat, but secretly has a new bestie. I see the young person struggling with depression and who can relate to a kitten that’s been through so much. I see the older person who just wants a companion. These boys have been through so much. If you’ve ever saved a tiny kitten you know how fragile they are. It’s harder than it looks these two were so close to giving up and they fought so hard, now they will get to make somone so very happy.

Bobby and Joseph will be neutered on Thursday and I can’t hardly believe they are no longer the kittens we feared wouldn’t see the next day. 🥹💙
