Help us fill the cat!!
We are struggling to raise money recently, so we have decided to start fundraising for these babies a little early.

Larry and Leona will need to be fixed and vaccinated very soon!
As we meet each mark I will update the post!

Times are hard right now for everyone, including rescues. If you can help any at all it’s greatly appreciated. I always say these kittens can’t help they were born where they weren’t wanted.
We have to do everything in our power to love them and make them feel wanted.

💙Thank you to everyone who donated!! He is being neutered this Thursday and have a barn home awaiting him! 💙
Feeling pretty defeated tonight.
We found these 4 kittens along with 2 adult cats at a local grocery store. All skedish/feral.
Something has to give, if this is you, if you’ve ever did or thought about doing this how do you sleep?

These are just babies they are not eating every night, it’s getting cold, these babies likely lived indoors and didn’t learn to hunt. They were absolutely starved to death, but to scared to let us get them.

We have closed our intake to work on trapping local cats.
How can you help? Adopt and donate, we need adopters desperately.
We need homes willing to give a warm safe place, and we need barn homes willing to open their doors.

We were able to get this tabby male today in the second picture.
My mom’s been working since summer to catch this big guy. He was always disappearing and showing back up hurt. I’m glad we’ve got him. Now we will most likely to searching for a barn home for him.

Dumping animals should be illegal and it should be inforced 🤦‍♀️
Id love to dump some of these so called humans out on the streets with nothing but their two hands.

Not litter mates, just two souls who met at their lowest point.

These two babies came into our rescue a week apart and they are a week apart in age.
Larry from one of Knox Whitley humanes staff members and Leona was found on a porch with siblings who died quickly after.

Kittens do so much better in pairs and although these guys met under unfortunate circumstances, they needed each other. ❤️

This is Jean Philippe, he is the calmest and most put together cat you’ll meet.
He cares about two things his people and his dinner. 😆

If Jean was a person he would probably work at an office or call center and be overly happy about it. 😂 😂
Jean loves to cuddle at bed time or just when you want to lay in your bed 😆, he loves being brushed oddly enough, he loves baby kittens, he LOVES people all shaped and forms lol, he’s nosy and listens closely to things around him, but couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed. 😝

Jean really is the perfect cat if you think about it.
He is littler box trained, he’s super loving, super smart, he’s everything good.

Jean has nicks and dings in him, it breaks our hearts to see bite marks and scratches on any cat, but with how sweet he is I can’t imagine another cat or animal hurting him.
Jean is loved by everyone who has met him, he loves to leave a good impression. 😆

Jean is definitely at the bottom for most adoptable cats. He’s 6 years old and he’s black.
Unfortunately those things matter to some people. His personality is so strong though!
He does have medium length hair and he would love to let you brush it and pet on him all day lol
😆

I could go on about how we all love this cat so much, but I think this gets the point across. He’s the best cat and deserves nothing but the best human, and best life.

We are in barbourville ky, but can travel a half hour.

So here’s another Jean post for yall!
How many adult male cats that have lived outdoors their whole life will let you brush them and enjoy it this much!
It usually take 2 people, 4 hands and some strength to completely brush an adult cat, and not to mention with longer hair!

He’s such a love bug he will take any and all attention, even if it’s being brushed.
People are missing out on this sweet cat!!

How many adult male cats that have lived outdoors their whole life, can you stick with two jumpy playful kittens and they be just fine. A few sniffs and Jean is besties with the little babies. Jean is so laid back and so kind. Message us about adopting Jean!

Jean has made his arrival!💙
His neuter went well and we were finally able to bring him into the rescue.
He’s having a little diarrhea so we are keeping him close. Hopefully it’s just a little fluke maybe stress, or new food. He’s the sweetest guy!
We are still trying to recover the money from his vet bills, if you would like to donate it’s greatly appreciated!

This guy has came so far from wondering feral in a parking lot, to long naps with humans on couches. This guy is so brave and we are happy we got to change his life for the better. 💙

Meet Jean Philippe. 👨‍🍳 🐈‍⬛
Jean has been staying at my aunts house until we had capacity to take him on. He was a drop off, and the vet estimates him to be no less than 6 years old. 😢

He was a sick guy. We got him to the vet last week where he was combo tested (negative) and a f***l test. Jean ended up having giardia.
He’s been on meds for a week and goes back to the vet today to be vaccinated and neutered!

We could really use your help.
$150 last week and we expect about $150 today. ($90 neuter, $30 vax, $30 rabies)

If you’ve got a few extra dollars to spare, it would go a long way in getting Jean healthy, and on his was to a wonderful life!

Meet Larry.
Larry came to us a few days ago, and after a clean bill of health, he and Leona get to be roomies!
Today they graduated from individual, heated carriers, to a large shared pin….with toys and an introduction to a litter box!
Big day around here!
They immediately started picking on each other. 😂
They’ve been meowing at each other thru their carrier doors, and now they’re happy to cuddle up. 💜 Bottle babies are demanding little things, but worth every minute. 💜

Sweet Ezra’s adoption feel through so he is still in search of his forever home!

Ezra is ready and eager for his forever home for this spooky season!

This handsome guy is about 6-7 months old. He is a shy, sweet and humble little guy. He will gladly take all the lovings you will give him. He has a purr motor so big you can hear it across the room! Ezra is a big foodie. He is always waiting for dinner and bed time in the evenings! 😆
Ezra is fixed and vaccinated!
He is also litter box trained and cat/dog friendly.

Guys, looking through photos today and I’m just blown away.
Look at this glow up, these photos are 7 days apart. Only one week and he has changed so much, he’s became so strong and lively.

This little guy is a walking, meowing miracle!
