Happy giving Tuesday everyone!
This year to give back, I challenge everyone able, to donate to a rescue or animal shelter!
Rescues and shelters are overlooked often, and small rescues like mine don’t have alot of dedicated funding.
We do this challenging, tiring, exhausting, much needed work every single day.
There are no days off.
There are no days where we can just not change the litter boxes, just not feed the cats, just not administer all the medications, or just not clean up constant messses.
It’s 24hour work.

I love what I do, even though it’s the hardest thing I do. Without rescue I would have much more time, and live with much less stress, but I also would have not gotten to experience so many things, or help so many animals.
It’s because of you all that I stay motivated and that I can even do this at all.

With all that being said Valentina is alive, and because she has fought so hard, she has to have her leg amputated.
We are so so glad she is alive to even have her leg amputated, but we are going to need your help!

Our sweet Valentina has fought and fought!
Today we took her to the vet for them to recheck her eye.
They believe the ulcer is no longer there, and she just has some scaring from an old injury.

When we scheduled her amputation for her leg, they want to also take her third eyelid.
It’s just always out and super irritated.
So removing it, is what is best for her to heal.

Our sweet vet staff got to love on her, and are so glad to see how much she has improved!
She has gained over a pound in less than a month.
A little TLC goes along way!
Our vet is very hopeful for this gal!

We are continuing her eye cream and waiting for surgery!

Another before and after!
This little guy was dumped and terrified, to being so loved and cared for!

I caught Ezra by hand after a week of trying day and night, now he loves to be loved on!

Fun little discovery, our girl has one brown eye and one green eye! 💚🤎
You can barely see due to the ulcer.

Our sweet Jean is still available for adoption!
He is the sweetest boy and would love a home of his own for Christmas. 🎄

He loves to cuddle, and to be held! If you’re looking for a buddy to cuddle up with this chilly season, he’s the one!
Jean gets along with cats and dogs, he’s a true lover to all!
He’s good with kids and uses the litter box perfectly!

He’s honestly a 10/10, no complaints.
He has lived with us for months now just in our home, like one of our cats. No crate, nothing.
He shares litter boxes with our cats and eats with our cats. He’s not had any accidents, he hasn’t scratched anything up, he won’t keep you up at night.

He is 6 years old, he’s neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He also has on current flea meds and has been dewormed.
We had a combo test done and everything came back negative!

Gosh this cat y’all!
Valentina is so unbelievably strong!
I mean just look at her go!
I’m very exited to announce she has been using her litter box over the past few days with only 2 accidents! That’s huge for her, since she went from accidents every couple hours, and no litter box usage at all.

We have hope for this girl and we are right behind her all the way. You can tell she isn’t ready to give up, and neither are we. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

It’s almost Thanksgiving!! 🦃❤️
I don’t know about you all, but around here it’s one of our favorite holidays!

This Thanksgiving we ask you donate to a rescue your thankful for!

With Valentina’s vet bills we have to keep trying for donations. So I’ve created a turkey fundraiser image!

This is the current situation with our crates right now!
The babies got upgraded to a big kitty crate! 😆
They have had a blast running up and down the levels 😆!
It’s always fun seeing the tiny babies go from a small crate to a big crate with levels! They have so much fun!

On the top is Miss Valentina she’s settling in to her new crate. 💜

We had to make a hard decision today with Valentina. We have decided to fight with her.
Our vet gave us the option of euthanasia now or waiting to see if she improves.

After X-rays this morning they found, nothing is broken. Leading them to believe it’s neurological.
Valentina has suffered severe nerve damage in her front leg along with neurological damage. Due to the damage, she has lost control of her bowels. She is considered incontinent and is having to be bathed very often to keep her clean.
We were told the neurological damage was most likely caused by trauma or meningitis?

We have decided with our vet to give her 2 months and see where she’s at. The vet said she has about a 50/50 chance. She may regain some neuroloigical functions and may be able to control her bowels at some point. Or she could stay the same and not have much quality of life. At that point we will have to re-evaluate. If she improves we plan to go ahead with having the leg amputated.

She has ear mites that are being treated and a pretty bad eye ulcer, also being treated.

With all that being said today’s cost was $410.70
We are going to have to raise the money to cover this to be able to continue.

She is the sweetest and didn’t deserve any of this.
We want to help her fight.
We asked about exercises to help better her chances and will be starting those.

Sweet Valentina is at the vet, they are wanting to keep her overnight.
They did a combo test and all came back negative!!

She has lost complete function is one of her front legs. The vet said it’s nerve damage and we will most likely have to amputate.
There is also an issue with one of her back legs, she has function of it, but not complete function. They are going to do an Xray on that in the morning.

She is being put on clavamox for an Upper respiratory infection.
They also found an ulcer in her eye so we are waiting to hear the best way to treat that.

Edit: The vets keeping her for today to observe. They are starting with a combo test.

We got this poor cat and we and heartbroken to see what she has been thorough.
We are on our way right now to the vet with this sweet girl.
She’s not able to walk or stand.

Another spoiled girl glow up!💜😊
Martini has to be one of my very favorite cases. A very sad and hard to comprehend case.
Martinis momma and siblings were all killed by a dog, who broke into their crate.
We were told Martini was hidded under her momma.
Her situation saddened all of us. She had it rough, and more times than not we thought she wasn’t going to pull through. I’m happy to say she very much made it!
She absolutely love life’s and is full of s***k! This video is proof of how relentless cats can be!
We love you Martini. Huge thank you to the family who loves her and spoils her!
We couldn’t do this without our adopters!💖💖

Frank has been adopted!!!
We can now move on to the next chapter!
Our plan from this point is to trap a family of cats at a local grocery store here in barbourville.

There are at least 2 adults and 5 kittens.
Wish us luck along this journey, we are exited to get some cats out of the cold this winter!

We are so thankful for homes like this one. Homes that truly love their pets like their family. We have gotten so lucky, we have some amazing adopters!
