I think transparency is important; just as much as we celebrate our wins on here, I think our losses should be highlighted as well. They show us what needs work, it could be consistency, structure or proper understanding. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or ask questions. Take time to learn & understand. Having a relationship with your dog is such an incredible gift to have.
I love this dog more than my life. I owe him so much in 3 short years. I got Simba late in the game at 7 months! He has helped me in my lowest times & celebrated with me for my highs & boy do they ever mean more with him by my side. He’s travelled with me everywhere, from Arizona to Nashville to West Virginia. The best co-pilot.
I will never be able to repay him for everything he’s done for me. He’s not just a dog, he’s my best friend. He models what a relationship should look like with loyalty & unwavering love. We rely on one another.
As always a huge thank you to our club for helping us & becoming more than just friends but a family with similar goals. We uplift, help eachother & call eachother out when needed. Thats the definition of a team & we have the best one.
So, I’m sorry I let you down buddy; trying to obtain our second level of Ring 1. I made a few very silly handling mistakes that will never happen again. Although this is my first working dog I am incredibly hard on myself because I know what I’m capable of, better yet I know what he is capable of.
