Some super photos from Thainstone Christmas Classic. We were delighted to have sold 5 lots off to super new homes.

🎄Laurelle Finders keepers achieved 1st prize ewe.

🎄Gallowhill Fessiona achieved 2nd prize ewe and sold to 750gns.

🎄Laurelle Good times achieved 3rd place in the gimmer class.

🎄Ewe lamb Laurelle Highland Nip sold to 350gns to Shetland.

🎄Ewe lamb Laurelle Highalnd hope sold to 550gns to Knockglass Dutch Spotted Sheep.

Gallowhill Johanna and Jana sold for 300gns each to Orkney.

We hope that buyers are delighted with there lots, a special thank you for the underbidders and buyer’s.

Gimmer Laurelle Good times and Three ewe lambs, Laurelle Highland Nip, Highland Hope and Hickory.

Time to reflect..

This summer has been a summer of learning and showing, considering lambing was extremely challenging and a move for the crew we’ve been fortunate enough to get out to some shows and achieve some excellent results.

The highlights include showing at the highland show, winning overall continental champion at Fettercairn, reserve champion at Turriff show and Carlaustan Fisher coming away with champion male at every show we attended.

Being asked to judge was also a personal achievement and it was a pleasure to be asked, sales have also gone very well so it’s been a successful summer to say the least.

Now we look to lambing again, all the tups have been away working and we look forward to seeing what they produce.

So as some may know, we have toe dipped into Bleu Du Maines which is something I had been toying with for a little while.

So they will run alongside the Spotties, Blue Texels, Suffolk’s and Badger Face Texels.

The prefix for the Bleu Du Maine will be Corrennie which is the same as the Blue texels 🥰 and hopefully we will have some good lambs to offer for next year.

It was a pleasure to be asked to Judge for Kinross for the Dutch Spotted and Blue Texel sections of the show a couple of weeks ago.
Excellent sheep were on display and it made the decision making tough but it was enjoyable none the less.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to bring there sheep and present them.
It was a super display of the breed!

A super super day at Fettercairn Show for team Laurelle!

⭐️💫 Carlaustan Fisher came home with Male Champion and overall champion of the any other continental breed section 🌟💫

Aged ewes Ria and Ella also fared well coming with 2nd and 3rd and home bred Laurelle Gorgeous coming home with a 3rd in a strong gimmer class.

A massive thank you to all who helped.

A big well done too all the other competitors in a good show of competition!

Finally getting around to posting about the Royal Highland Show show!

We had a super time at our first highland show with the Laurelle Dutch Spotted and Corrennie Blue Texels team.
We weren’t the judges cup of tea of this occasion but congratulations to all who came away with a ticket it was tough competition with a great display of the breed.

Lots learnt, new friends made and a great first experience of the highland show.

Offering one of my imported tups for sale, boys with his breeding don’t come around often!

Fabio (import)

2 shear Dutch spotted ram imported directly from Belgium last year. As wide as he is tall, super mouth and conformation as well. Has added width and substance to his offspring.

There is very little off his bloodline in the UK (in fact I have not found any) so for anyone wanting something a bit different here he is.
