First brood of sunset Wagtails. Quite possibly the cutest fry I've ever bred
An order of Pink Grass Guppys Fry on their way out today. This is why it's so incredibly important to segregate purge and fast fish at least 48hrs before shipping. All that debris you see in the segregation tank is their waste. If you feed according to label, then they are already eating several times more per day than needed. Even when not being fed there is still food in the tank such as leftover food, biofilm, algae, detritus...etc. some species will cannibalize on fry because they don't recognize their own young. because captive aquaria is fed so well, they can go longer without eating than in the wild. They can go up to 2 weeks without a nibble. Segregating them in a clean tank starts a fast. It also spooks them a little triggering a reflex to relieve themselves. If you were to move fish directly from their home tank to a bag for shipping, they would poison themselves during the trip.

A simple $1 Bearded Dragon enclosure dehumidifier. Should also help with her terrarium plants because this wet bulb heatwave has not been kind.
Wee little green jade neocardina
Sushi has gone to the great Aquarium in the sky. Let's remember his first month home when he battled his reflection daily then celebrated triumph over his evil twin with a snikkity snack. RIP #betta #lifeisbettawithfish #aquarium
