Yesterday was a depressing day for me.
I sold my property and I’m staying with family till I find a new place to buy. The ppl storing most of my birds extra large cages, toys and java stands ruined them all😥.

My goals this year are to find a property big enough to farm. With that said I have read the ingredients on my birds pellets and I’m going to try to grow everything in the pellets to feed the freshest food possible to my birds. Stay tuned for updates!

I’ve been researching, foraging and taking the bark off of branches for safe bird perched. This branch will be made into 3 cage perched. Heading back out today to find more!
I’ll have perches and stands for sale soon.

Merlin is already growing back feathers and not picking at his chest anymore. I’m so happy he is doing so well now! Chew fed his diet and environment and he is doing amazing. He is such a sweet boy.

Here is Merlin, he is new to us and he came from loving people but who had a bit of a animal  hoarding situation.
He came with this wound on his chest that was open and bleeding at the time of picking him up. It is now dry and scabbed but I do see him picking at it.
He is now getting lots of out of the cage time and regular misting/ showers.
Merlin is a sweet heart and is doing good. 😁

I always line the bottom of my cages with a thick plastic. This helps for 2 reasons.
1. If water spills it won’t rot your bottom tray. It’s a protective barrier and 2. It’s easy to clean the cage. Jus fold the plastic and empty it into the trash and hose it down.
You can either dry it off and reuse right away or make a spare and leave it outside to dry for the next cleaning.

She will only eat if I’m with her. I wonder if anyone else’s bird does this. She takes a piece of food and flys to me.
