Quite often the family cat is compelled to join in on the massage session. Watch Twister in the upper left hand corner. (Thank you Kelly-Ann Kaddy Loescher, for capturing this funny moment!). Watch to the end. 😹

Meet Lola. She is a young dog who experienced an injury to her pelvis as a puppy, and lives with extreme stiffness in her hind end, as well as frequent pain.

Due to this, Lola exhibits fear and pain based aggression behaviors toward both family and non-family members, including growling, snarling, snapping and biting.

When I first started working with Lola she would hesitantly allow her neck and shoulders to be massaged for brief intervals. Massage work on her hind end was accomplished only with her pet mom holding her head.

After several weekly massage sessions, Lola’s behavior is changing from one of fear to one of acceptance and positive anticipation. Play is incorporated into Lola’s sessions as it helps allow her time to process both the beneficial physical and psychological effects of massage.

Here is my friend Teddy (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) patiently waiting for Santa and his reindeer to arrive. Mostly he’s waiting for the reindeer - so he can chase them through the woods! 🎄

This is my friend Bodey, and he is really something. This boy has had 2 TPLO’s in the past 9 weeks. He has handled his surgical pain, confinement and rehab with dignity and willingness. I am so pleased to provide massage as part of Bodey’s impressive recovery. ❤️

Lola, who didn’t want to be touched the first time I worked on her two sessions ago, is enjoying some intercostal work before I move on to massaging her pelvis.

I had the privilege of observing dog trainer, Jen Banks, perform temperament testing on a litter of seven week old Standard Poodle puppies. Let’s just say the breeder was lucky she wasn’t missing a puppy when I left!

Sweet Moon Pie (Staffordshire Bull Terrier on left) is in training for agility work and had a couple of deep trigger points that needed to be worked out. And shy Bomba (Shiba Inu on right) - who barely let me touch him my first visit - completely relaxed and enjoying intercostal work. Great progress for both dogs today!
