A belated THANK YOU to whoever has dropped off kitty litter on my porch, more than once. I also received an Amazon shipment including some kitten food. A HUGE thank you as well to those who have sent donor-advised funds this month. The year-end gifts we receive help keep us in the black throughout the year, and each year have increased our financial stability. Thank you for your loving care for those most vulnerable. I feel supported from far and wide this season.
While I am trying to slow down for the winter, that seems to be easier said than done! We have one final adoption event of the year this coming Monday, Dec. 22, 4-7pm at Tractor Supply. We have cats AND kittens, including a couple never-before-seen in public :). Bring your carrier.
Even though we are on very limited intake right now, it is so important that we continue to support our community. I know times are hard for many, and a little assistance can mean the difference between keeping or surrendering their pet for some families. We plan to continue to support preventative care, including donations of pet food to our local food pantries. If a bag of pet food is all that you need to keep your pet, please reach out.
Finally during this season of giving, if you would like to get materially involved in our efforts, we can always use additional volunteers. Every single one of us is unpaid. We do transport, fostering, working events, and behind-the-scenes work on the page or organizing things like the food pantry drop-off. I would love to find someone to spearhead donation collection boxes of pet food for the pantry. Send me a message! And a merry, merry Christmas, happy holidays, and joyous New Year to all of you. (Picture for attention is of one of my favorite pairs, Snowball and Aslan, who are looking for a patient forever home together.)
