To get your dog ready for a dog show, you'll want to focus on several areas: grooming, training, health, and overall presentation. Here's a guide to help you prepare:

1. Grooming

Coat: Make sure your dog's coat is in top condition. Regular brushing helps with shedding and keeps the coat shiny. Bathe your dog a few days before the show (not the day before, to avoid a fluffy look).

Nails: Trim your dog’s nails carefully. Overgrown nails can affect the way they walk.

Ears and Teeth: Clean the ears to remove any dirt or wax buildup. Brush your dog's teeth to ensure fresh breath and clean teeth.

Paws and Pads: Check for any dirt or debris in their paw pads and clean them up.

2. Training

Stacking: Practice stacking (posing your dog in a certain way to show off their structure) in front of a mirror or with a professional. Judges will be looking at how well your dog holds their pose.

Today, a seminar was held in Hazara, where the president of PKU Saqib Islam Rana discussed the breeding standards for German Shepherds. He emphasized ways to enhance these standards, including genetic selection and health considerations. Additionally, he covered the importance of a balanced diet, outlining specific dietary plans to promote optimal growth and health in dogs.
The insights shared at the seminar provided valuable direction and motivation for us. It was particularly beneficial for the audience equipping us with knowledge to enhance our breeding practices and care for German Shepherds. Overall, it was a fruitful experience.
Lastly, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the members who attended and participated in the seminar. Your presence made it a truly enriching experience for everyone involved.
