PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe……are a few good options!

Update - Porsche is ADOPTED!

I saw her in the kennels and my heart just shattered. Porsche was an owner surrender in 2016, she spent 152 days in the shelter until she found a home with an elderly lady. She was found stray in 2018 and adopted to another family, she's back again stray, we assume her family is not responding.

NONE of this is her fault, this is a common story, its the reason the shelter is full and animals are loosing their lives. Owners do not honor their commitments to these pets. Responsibility and promises mean little in society today, this is not just with pets.

Times are different in the sheltering world today, so many pets given up on, she'll not be given another longs stay, to find a home. We have to get her out ASAP. Porsche has been a very sweet loving girl. Take a moment to come meet her, she's an older dog, lower energy, and one that will give you her whole heart.

Porsche has been introduced to other dogs by the shelter. They said she did fine. We have not seen her with Cats nor have we seen her with children. Since all children have different levels of respect for pets, it’s best that you bring your child to see how they interact. It is different for all cats as well, dog savvy cats interact differently than cats that run. Take her on a doggie date to introduce her to your cat on leash to see how that interaction goes.
