Cruelty case in Smith County - East Texas Owner fled to Mexico & left 14 dogs, (6 deceased) & 8 survived, 2 cats & 2 parakeets to survive on their own in a home with no electricity in the Texas heat. Thanks to the landlord who literally saved these animals lives & he had no clue they had this many animals. Huge thanks to Shelly with 4 The Love Of Parrots Rescue for taking the birds. We still need rescue for the cats. None of the animals had ever seen a vet. Each animal is going to cost roughly $500-$800 due to all their medical issues. They have infections- ear, skin, eyes & worst teeth & mouths the vet has seen, broken leg, one is missing lower jaw, double cherry eyes & can’t see well not to mention the pain. One is paralyzed too and this sweetest dog with such a will to live!

We will feature a few each week that are urgent. We need fosters & donations to be able to continue our rescue’s life savings efforts. We could not let these babies die. 903-520-4547 or 903-245-5311

Meet this sweet dog that was dumped in Tyler TX. She is about a year old, 40'ish lbs. She does well on a leash & in the house and good with other dogs. She appears to have burn marks on her head, face, & body but despite this she is very friendly & loving. A good samaritan saved her but can't keep her so we need a foster or adopter for her. Dogs can’t speak so we have to presume this stunning boy was abandoned. He was found yesterday in Noonday, TX. He’s not microchipped and he’s intact. A senior family rescued him so he is safe for now. If you recognize this dog or if he is yours, please contact us immediately. Otherwise, we will proceed with getting him fully vetted, including being neutered asap and rehomed.

We are seeking an adopter for Sadie. She’s a full blood, spayed chocolate Lab who is microchipped and current on all of her vaccinations. She enjoys being around other dogs, she loves people and she’s a hunting fanatic! She is extremely affectionate and just wants to be by your side. Meet Bingo! She’s so stinkin’ cute!!! ❤️ 🐶

Bingo was found on the side of a roadway. She’s current on her vaccinations. She’s a typical playful, sweet puppy who loves playing in water and running through the grass.

Girlfriend moving can’t take her. Boyfriend works for Fed x and gone long hours not fair to puppy. She estimated to be 14 weeks old.

A colony of cats that were born in a Rusk location are in need of new homes ASAP. The place they have been living has implemented a no feeding allowed policy so they will starve or die from dehydration in this heat since they are not allowed to put water out anymore. They will be spayed/neutered, get rabies, FVRCP vaccine, flea treatment, and ear notch this weekend but need to be taken to new homes Sunday evening. All are skittish but will come up to people to get food. Some can be petted once your trust is gained. There are 3 males and 2 females. They will need time to acclimate to a new environment. They cannot be just let loose on property. They will run off and possibly die. They will need someone to be patient and let them decompress and adjust. They have spent their lives trying to stay alive and will need to gain your trust. They are used to hunting so would be great at helping keep mice, moles, and snakes away but will also need food. They will still hunt when fed. They would do better with at least 2 together. If you have a place where they can be provided outdoor shelter, food, and water you will literally be saving their lives. Please message if you can help. 17 cats and kittens have been saved so far and these five still remain needing placement. There are about 7 others but they are more elusive and won't go in traps. Please help if you can. They are running out of time in this heat. Transport can be arranged if not too far from Jacksonville.

Daisy Lou had 10 precious puppies! 6 girls and 3 boys.
3 black, 1 white, 5 brown, 1 cleft palate that was transported to a special needs foster for extra care. We just learned that he didn't make it. 💔💔
We thank all who helped here from the bottom of our hearts. We're so glad they're in a safe, caring foster home(s). Daisy Lou is a lucky girl!

Yesterday Ms. Daisy was examined by our vet, and we found out the following:

-she is expecting 10 (!!!) puppies
-the puppies are due NOW
-she only weighs about 58lbs
-she has hookworms and is heartworm positive
-she’s around 3 years old, maybe 4

This is going to be interesting, wish us luck!

Update: she’s only mildly heartworm positive, so she can do a gentle treatment after she weans the pups.

Rocket (Raccoon 🤣) is an adorable little love bug. He’s also the most interesting looking dog we've seen. He’s definitely a conversation piece!
He’s about 4.5 months old, 15 lbs and has the wispy hair of a doodle and the face and merle coloring of a dachshund, packed in a tiny body with long(ish) legs…and he doesn't shed! We don't expect him to get much bigger.
He's calm, fun and gentle, kind of a frail little guy with no fear - he wants to run with the big dogs, but also be stuck to your side. He's the best companion for a kiddo, he loves everyone. He's going to make someone a fabulous companion!
He does well in a kennel, on a leash, and with potty training.

Fed Blue Buffalo puppy food. Yes. No more shots due until 1 year from now. Well cared for and mostly inside dog.
