Frito 9 year old male
Meet Frito! He was surrendered after his owner passed and his family member fell ill. He has a neuter surgery scheduled, but we are getting a head start on applications beforehand to get the ball rolling. He is settling in very nicely in his foster home and we will be looking for a very special adopter for Frito. He is very easy to love and has the sweetest temperament, but he likely has pug myelopathy as the radiographs of his spine ruled out injury. He gets around pretty well right now, but he does need to be carried up and down stairs. He's a beefy boy and needs to shed a couple of pounds. He is a people pug and has already claimed his foster mom as his own. He loves to play with stuffies, demands to get on the couch at night and gets anxious on car rides. Whoever adopts Frito can expect unconditional love and joy from one of the most handsome pugs we have seen in a while. What he will need from his person is a commitment to continued care and supportive treatment for his condition. He will likely end up in a wheel chair and ultimately need to have his bladder expressed and bowels stimulated. He will need good skin care and measures to prevent skin breakdown on his toes.
