This is decorative silver orb spider. Just like in the photo above, this spider always stays upside down. This spider has silver marks at the upperside of its abdomen and silver stripes at the side of the abdomen. Under the abdomen the color is greenish silver. The chepalothorax is translucent white with green stripes along the center and border of chepalothorax. It has six eyes.
The abdomen is slender and has two black slight humps in front. It has extended abdomen like a blunt tail beyond the spinnerets. The extended abdomen is bended upward if we see from the side. The legs are translucent green with some black and yellow rings near the legs joint segments. The two front leg pairs are much longer than the others. They are about more than twice longer then body length. The venom of this kind of spider is considered not harmful to human.
Usually found in shaded vegetation of gardens and forest. It constructs an oblique to horizontal orb web with open hub. Usually remains hung in its web with its ventral surface facing upwards ..
