This sweet, very much loved puppy I spoke to told me that he was utterly confused about what his family expected from him. His family was also confused about certain behaviors of the pup.

When I asked his person if the doggie had gotten some training she said she just couldn't bring it over her heart to be harsh to the little doggie as she loved him too much.

Being harsh and being clear are two different things. The doggie needs clarity and for that he needs consisted commands and training. I asked the dog if he was OK getting trained and he said yes.

By practicing these techniques, we can promote a sense of tranquility in our furry companions.

1️⃣ Passive Calming Activities: These activities actively promote and encourage a state of calmness in your dog.

2️⃣ Active Rest: Limiting choices for your dog can help empty their stress bucket and keep arousal levels in check. Remember, the more they practice active rest, the quieter and calmer they'll become.

3️⃣ Calmness Protocol: Capture those precious moments of spontaneous calmness in your dog's daily life. Whenever you notice them slowing down or exhibiting relaxed behaviour, reward them and reinforce the positive association.
