When I look at her I’m in awe of her beauty and ability to bring the love of Jesus to the hurting. I’m in utter disbelief that God appointed a wretch like me to be her handler.

So grateful for Chaplains like Jill Powell that has enough confidence in us to send us.

I actually think this is the luckiest dad ever. I would love to take my dog on all my adventures, but Belle would definitely not tolerate it and Beau is just too wild right now, Hopefully when he starts to calm down I can manage to take him on some adventures. But not sure I can carry 75-80lbs on my back like that. 🤔

We have a double birthday today!!! 🥳 🎉🎂🥰

We couldn’t get a good picture to save our lives this year. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Apparently Beau’s sit-stay was only good enough to pass his CGC test. 😐 Birthdays are way too exciting and there ain’t no staying on this day! And Belle said Beau has cooties and refused to get any closer. 😒 No hats this year because they refused to keep them on long enough for a photo. 😕

It’s been an incredible year for sure! Beau sure did spice things up and we are so in love. Happy first birthday to my baby Beau!

Belle, you will always be my #1. I can’t thank God any more for blessing me with you in my life for these past 9 years. I pray we will have many more years ahead to look forward to. I love you with all my heart. Happy birthday my sweet love.

This weekend I had a client thank me for sending the sweetest photos of her boy. Then I was scrolling through another client’s “gallery” and realized I should share some of my favorites with you more often.

These are a few of my favorites of Gus. He is one of the newest and youngest member of the posse. This poor little guy just had surgery last week and could use some prayers for recovery and for the best outcome to gain mobility in his hind legs.

I really enjoy photography and I feel blessed that I’m able to capture some of the sweetest moments of your loved ones for you.

Yes, I am proud. I am proud of the training I put my dogs through. I am proud of the work they do. I am proud of the lives they touch and the joy they bring to people. Belle has taken me to places to see things I never imagined seeing. I don’t take her. She takes me. She is the dog I will never be able to replace. She is an extraordinary creation of God. I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of her story, and now Beau’s, unfolds.

Just call him Therapy Dog Beau! Got our official welcome letter from Canines for Christ San Antonio. So unbelievably grateful for this opportunity. God is so good.

Special thanks to for graciously providing top notch training. Beau accomplished so much more in 2 months than I ever dreamed, earning 3 AKC titles at only 11 months old. We couldn’t have done it without the discipline our trainer, Frank Young, instilled in him from day one of starting with him. We are eternally grateful.

Introducing for the first time…..

Thank you to the many people that prayed, supported, and helped train Beau. This more than exceeded my expectations for today and we are so so proud.

When we first arrived I was in a panic because Beau seemed overly excited and I almost backed out, but he eventually calmed. As a matter of fact he was so calm I had to phone in a friend (aka Danny Kim) for the recall. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 The evaluator said that’s never happened before on recall. 😂😂 We trained a solid “stay” to the point of detriment. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Now Danny claims Beau loves him best. 🙄😂 I will let him have that because he literally saved the day.

Honestly though if I had waited until he was 💯 I wouldn’t have had to rely on my God. There’s no doubt we hustled the past 2 months in the summer months with record highs. Anyone who trains a lab puppy to this level in 2 months in the heat of Texas should be incredibly proud, so I will claim my bragging rights. However, I give all glory to our Father in heaven. In Him is who we have our ultimate bragging rights.

The most heart wrenching description of the aftermath of the massacre in Uvalde. Nine and ten-year-old children slaughtered as if in a war zone. I have no words. Only tears.

Belle and I return this coming Wednesday to Uvalde to deliver teddy bears and support the community. Please continue to pray for us and the community as funerals commence this week.

If you are interested, you can still support the Uvalde Teddy Bear Fund at the link below. Canines for Christ, the organization that Belle is certified with as a therapy dog, is asking for your help in partnership with the Salvation Army to donate 500 teddy bears to comfort those attending the funerals this week.

It’s official! We received our letter today informing us our application for Belle to start therapy work has been approved by Canines for Christ San Antonio. We are so extremely thrilled!

I had hopes for Belle to become a therapy dog when we brought her home over 8 years ago, but I had put those ambitions aside because she was a challenge to train with her high energy. However, when I look at my beautiful Belle, all I want to do is share the joy she’s brought into my life with the rest of the world. It may be 8 years later than I had hoped, but I am utterly grateful to be given this opportunity. There isn’t any better way I would have wanted for her to spend the latter years of her life than to serve as the paws of Jesus Christ as she leaves her legacy behind.

Watch out world! Here she comes!
