Here are 5 tips to keep your pet safe and calm during a storm! ⛈️

1. Create a safe haven! 💙 Thunder can be scary, choose a room where they can go to get away from the noise. Add their favorite toys and blankets to provide a sense of security. 🎶 Music or TV can be used to drown out the noise as well!

2. Keep them distracted! 🧩 Puzzles and other interactive games can be used to lower stress levels.

3. Keep them indoors! 🏡 When some pets get spooked by loud noises, they may make a run for it! Make sure they are kept multiple doors away from the front.

4. Identification tags and microchips increase the chances of a safe return in case your pet takes off! 🐾

5. Comfort them using products such as ThunderShirts or calming diffusers. 📞Please contact us today at (808) 453-5000 if you are interested in anti-anxiety medication! 🩵

This handsome boy came in today for his annual wellness exam! ❤️ He received a ProHeart 12 injection, which prevents heartworm disease in dogs for 1 full year. It also treats hookworm infections!

This is a great option for those who prefer a once a year dosing rather than once a month!

It’s National Train your Dog month, and what better examples than Zac and Cooper! 🐾 They definitely know how to pose for a treat! 👏🏼

💡Here are some tips to keep in mind when training your puppy
- Short sessions: puppies have short attention spans! Start by training for 5 minutes at a time.
- Lots of rewards: use training treats throughout the day to reward correct behavior.
- Be consistent: puppies love a routine! Make sure everyone is using the same commands.

What’s better than one kitten….

Two kittens!!! 🐈🐈‍⬛

💙 Anuenue and Kemushi had their first vet visit today and both got microchipped!

💭 According to the AVMA, microchipped cats are 38.5% more likely to return to home versus 1.8% for non-microchipped cats.

💭 Many veterinarians recommend adopting kittens in pairs due to their social behaviors. Being around another cat in their developmental stages can improve their overall wellbeing! ✨
