COD - Broken Leg.

It is with hearts heavy with pain and sorrow, that I inform you all that our beloved dragon king of Australia, Mansur, passed away sunday around 10pm September 3rd, 2023.
After cheating death earlier this year through a severe bout of ARGT, it called again sunday night in the form of an irreparable broken leg.

Myself and Jess are beside ourselves with grief at his loss.

Mansur spent his final months as a herd stallion, loving his ladies and spending time with his beautiful foals, he wanted for nothing and had the best care in the world.

Mansur has 2 beautiful foals coming this year, but we hope they won't be his last as he has stored straws and plenty of chances for a few more gorgeous offspring yet ♡

Mansur has been laid to rest at beautiful Halfway Gully, home of Khan Tekes Australia.

Forever our beloved, magnificent dragon king.

Fly free, sweet boy, and say hi to the great herd beyond for us all ♡

We apologise for the quiet on the page lately.

Mansur unfortunately went down almost 4 weeks ago with severe ARGT. He's been touch and go for a while but we believe he's finally on the safe side of his recovery.
We have months to go before the toxin is fully clear of his system, as well as a lot of rehabilitation work for his body due to injuries sustained during his ordeal.

Mansur is sassy, hungry, and finally back out in a paddock after spending weeks in a soft, sandy space to prevent further injury.

For now, all live cover is on hold, AI is currently the only option.

Thank you all for your support these last two years, hopefully we still have many more ahead ♡

Alexi is a real boon for Australia's tiny population of Akhal Tekes, and we can't wait to welcome him to his new home in WA! 🤗

After waters got a little too deep in a short amount of time, we went for a little walk up the hill for a short distance paddock evacuation. By morning we expect it to be under water.
(Walked in hand, not under saddle!)

Safe, sound, and cozy under his rug in a dry sandy paddock. Sweet relief!
Mansur was very excited for the evening walk and took every chance he could to sniff and check things out on the way while behaving like a true gentleman.

We aren't enjoying the rain and flooding at all. Very angry dragon today had a lot to say to me, and rightfully so!
Safe for now, but may move him and the others out soon if it rises any further.

With the in full swing, remembering , where Absent won individual🥉& team🥉bronze medals in , building on his 🥇 1960 in Rome. He went on to also win the team🥈silver in 1968… his fourth 🐴 !
