If your maltese has allergies, you know how painful it can be. However, with dogs the signs and symptoms may go unnoticed because our furry friends can’t tell us what’s wrong.
So as the leader of the pack, we need to be aware of what to look out for:
➡️A Maltese may scratch or chew at himself so much that the skin breaks open.
➡️There may be bumps or hot spots of inflamed skin patches. Skin may appear dry, red, or scaly.
➡️Poor skin health can cause the coat to thin. In severe cases there may be balding
areas.
➡️You may notice raspy breathing and coughing.

French bulldog hip dysplasia is genetic, and even the biggest canine breeds can suffer from it.🐶 It can cause lameness and impaired mobility along with pain.

Here are a few ways you can minimize the chances of your Frenchie developing hip dysplasia:
➡️Avoid over-exercising as a puppy. Keep exercise gentle and low impact.
➡️Feed them a high-quality diet and maintain a healthy weight.
➡️Refrain from jumping and landing on hind legs.
➡️Allow your Frenchie to swim in lukewarm water.
➡️Sleeping on the right and comfy bed is another factor that can affect the dog’s
severity of pains.
➡️Get regular checkups at the vet.

We love our Westies, but maybe not their barking. Barking is a natural dog behavior and sometimes its okay when our furry little friends are trying to communicate, but sometimes can be annoying 😅
If you have a West Highland Terrier that is constantly barking, here are a few tips that you can use to stop (or at least reduce) your Westie’s barking:
✅Find out the reason behind the barking. There are plenty of reasons and in almost all of those situations, he is trying to tell you something.
✅Stay calm. Remember that your terrier has amplified hearing, so when you raise your voice at them, they’re going to bark even more.
✅Sometimes, when your dog bark a lot, the only way to get them to quiet down is to make him tired.
✅Train your Westie, that whenever he bark too much, a firm “no” or “stop” should be able to get him to halt barking.
✅If your westie calling for your attention and you can’t give it to them
yet, simply hand him his favorite toy to keep him busy.
