🧨Happy 4th of July!! 🎉
We finally found a medicine that doesn’t knock Hope out for days due to her fear of fireworks and thunderstorms. She’s awake yet not freaking out at the war zone going on outside our house. I’m so happy for her! The Trazadone she used to take left her loopy and sleepy for days even though we only gave her a half of a pill instead of the two that she is suppose to get. Pyrenees have a very slow metabolism so they can’t take as much anesthesia and sedatives…they don’t come out of it very well and takes a while for them to get it out of their systems.
So thankful to have a vet that offers alternatives and works with us when I want something different!

I didn’t realize it’s been almost a year since I’ve posted anything about Hope! Where has the time gone?!? Sometimes it seems to fly by and then it seams like forever too. Anyway, Hope is doing great!! She is the sweetest girl and has the biggest heart. She’s healthy and fat (we’re working on that!). She’s also the silliest girl with a personality as big as she is. She protects her yard with her Pyrenees bark by sitting on the top of the pond (her hill) so she can see better. If any of you are old enough, she looks like Sam the Sheepdop from the cartoon. 🤣🤣 My husband wants to get her a wig for the bangs. 😂😂. She still loves going to doggie daycare, taking walks, Cami, our grandkids, Whataburger, going bye-bye, and has learned what chew bones are. She doesn’t tear the house up anymore when we leave…big progress! She is still terrified of fireworks, rain and thunderstorms, but knows she has a safe place to go and hide from the noises that terrify her so much.
Every time I go down the Beltway I see the place where she was living and am so grateful that she’s not a street dog anymore. I can’t imagine what she went through out on her own all of that time and it just breaks my heart. We are so blessed to have this girl and get to share our lives and love….and she is DEFINITELY loved a lot!!

We are over the moon happy with the news for our sweet girl!
Of course we will do another test in 6 months to confirm, but for now we are celebrating! 🎉

Happy birthday to our sweet Hope!
We’ve had Hope for 9 months now. 😊 The vet figured she was a little over a year old when we found her so we made her birthday today!!
Of course, that meant her favorite...Whataburger!! 💜🐾
