About Paws Up Agility
Paws Up Agility is offering a Beginner Series agility training program to Houston area residents and their dogs. Our goal is to provide our students and their dogs a safe, fun environment to learn agility. The classes will draw upon our experience teaching at Flash Paws Agility Training Center a local premier agility training facility. Our first Beginner Series will start in January 2020. The Beginner Series consists of three modules; Beginner (6 weeks) followed by Intermediate 1 (8 weeks) and Intermediate 2 (6 weeks). In Beginner we start with an understanding of the essentials of agility for you, the handler, and obstacle performance and behavior for your pups. We throw in a few tricks and games to play with your dog to help with later skills. As we progress along the curriculum into the Intermediate levels, we will work with each team on obstacle focus, handling, sequencing and ultimately refining and proofing your skills. The classes are appropriate for the team that is brand new to agility, as well as those more experienced handlers looking to start training with your new teammate.
